I feel like thats most of the Blazblue universe though. Pretty cool to hang out with if your not Ragna the Bloodedge. Heck, I would even argue Hazama and Terumi would be cool to go to Disneyland with or somthing.
Hakumen is like the Mermaid Man of Blazblue. Ragna: Hey, master. Wanna get some pizza? Jubei: Sure, as long as it's not Hazama's place. Ragna: Yeah, that place has the most evil prices. *covers his mouth immediately* Hakumen: *bursts through the wall* Eeeeeeevvviiiiiiilllllll!!!!!! Jubei: Not again....
Platinum: Who is that freaky masked dude? Ragna: Nooo, why did you ask that?! Hakumen: *I am the White void! I am the cold steel! I am the just sword!* ... Jubei: This could take a while. Lets get that pizza kids.
@@yoursonisold8743 Hakumen: *With Blade In Hand, Shall I Reap The Sins Of This World & Cleanse It In The Fires Of Destruction!!! I AM HAKUMEN!!! THE END HAS CO...* Hey, Hey, Hey, GUYS!!! GET BACK HERE!!! I'M NOT DONE YET, COME ON, GUYS!!! GUYS?!?!?
@@TupocalypseShakur Hakumen and jin are different people though. The other jin was not crazy like current jin or a dick before becoming hakumen, the current jin can't become hakumen after all.
You need Hakumen, Weiss. he's a grade A douchebag,an arrogant and egotistical jerk who refuses to compromise with anything that obstructs his "justice", BUT he's still a better dad than your real one.
The Power of Order compels him. I love that after Es says he would be even stronger with the Azure he just says he doesn't need that shit. His sword is enough lol
Hakumen: You define justice as striking down those who abuse their power. So I ask: what separates you from your enemies? Joker: Acting not for ourselves, but for those who cannot defend themselves.
His interactions with Ragna has taught me a big lesson. There is no difference in doing what's right for everyone, it's how you try to fix it that makes you either a hero or an asshole who is blind to the truth. I had high expectations of my first encounter with Hakumen, but it seems as if his self-esteem and prode are not to ever let him see how many more heroic deeds Ragna has done for his world where he didn't lose control. For fuck sake, that's his damn brother from another timeline! Not even a chance to let him explain himself
He actually cuts some slack every time he sees Ragna weakened by his attempts to help others, and is pretty chill when there are other more urgent matters to attend. He just sees Ragna as a catalyst to every possible horrible event (because he kinda is, sucks to be Ragna) even if Ragna himself tries to be a good person; and he knows that only him killing Ragna can fix things (since simply killing Ragna will result in another reset of which Hakumen is vaguely avare of, but Hakumen can cut freaking concepts, so killing Ragna his way should end the black beast-related incidents)
He most probably sees Yu as a version of himself had he changed his behavior and cared for others more. For Weiss, she probably reminded him of a young Tsubaki Yayoi, when they were both just teenagers in the academy. Additionaly, she talks about overcoming her old self, which in Hakumen's case seems to remind him of his old self as Jin and since he hates his past self, Jin, so much, probably dosen't want Weiss to end up like he did and he's pleased to see she's trying to change herself, which maybe why he's so encouraging and perhaps even fatherly towards her. That and the two's motivation and goals, align with what pleases Hakumen the most : dedication and single minded determination.
Ultramarines Sergeant That's just my interpretation but thanks. It's a shame that with such a crossover and so many characters with similarities, , they didn't do much to flesh them out and give interesting characteriszations beyond, " oh we're from other universes, let's fight each other to go back" which is like every generic crossover. Oh well, there's fanfiction, the few good ones.
Of all the interactions Hakumen could've had, I am the most disappointed he has nothing with Jin. I don't know how they couldn't think of SOMETHING to say between them considering who they are. No "phantom of the past" shenanigan or anything.
Zeronigel332 They might as well confirm it, cause it's pretty much known in the bbverse that Hakumen is Jin from a different timeline where he couldn't save Tsubaki/fused with that armor. Plus... The lack of filter gives it away slightly.
Its been revealed since Calamity Trigger ffs. They arent hiding anything. Its probably just the same as usual, those two try to interact as little as possible. I bet they would just be silently standing next to each other lol
To be honest it seems like Hazama is purely... well, Hazama, in this game. So even though he is a clone, he's not quite the ORIGINAL sadistic motherfucker. So technically 3, and since the others rely REALLY heavily on their drives (*I'M LOOKING AT YOU VALKENHAYN*), that should be about all we get.
Hakumen is like, “Yu, you remind me a certain younger me. Difference, I was a crazy ass dick. Don’t be like me don’t be a dick Yu.” Yu, “I won’t. I care about my friends.” Hakumen, “Ah, excellent! I like you, I could wash away the sins of evil with one as righteous as you, as I walk upon the bared wastes of-“ Yu, “Um, ok, I see... I’m gonna go.”
Oh it’s kinda funny. Yuzu be like be careful you might hurt somebody with that *LONG* thingy and Hakumen goes *SLIENCE* wench I am tryna make Vagabond into an anime
Hey Linne it's not his fault he can't fight at full strength. Being trapped in the boundary as a hundred years does a number ya. And all things considered he got off well.
No Jin or Jubei(which makes no sense at all). Makoto doesn’t have any quotes with Blake or Yang(which those two would make senses to have quotes with). And they have a few other missed opportunities(Jin/Weiss, Ones mentioned above, etc). I like this game, but come on now.
John Paul Yeah, so do other characters who also doesn’t interact with each other when paired up in a fight. A lot of people expected them both to have a special quote like the ones in the video.
You're saying this to Weiss, the most fleshed and well-developed of the four, and the one who heavily changed and learned so much from her older sister and her three other teammates
Even though Weiss is the most developed... that doesn't really say much now does it? Blake is a bigass disappointment and just a hateful character. Ruby can't have any damn character development at all, since she could've clearly got one after the Torchwick final aftermatch, his words could've brought some sense into her naive heart but NOPE, let's keep her a total idiot of course... Then we get Yang that is... all hype and no satisfaction, the PTSD she has for a little bit was interesting, but she turned out as a boring character when she returned to her old self, truly there is little to like about her, i seriously don't get why people care about this blonde. So there you go, you've Weiss left who is the ONLY one who actually had ANY character development, no matter how small, at least SHE got some.
As much as it hurts yes it's true. Everyone would've appreciated if Ruby had more development, like give her moments where she loses hope and her friends try to cheer her up (where otherwise Ruby would've been optimistic *cough V4 cough* and Blake has become another Sasuke. Yang's pre-V5 hype had good development but it didn't get the payoff it needed. Weiss had sufficient character development, something Ruby couldn't have, decent writing and becane likeable, something Blake lost, and good writing with satisfying payoff and best girl title, which Yang wishes she could have.
My thoughts exactly, i actually was interested to see Ruby as a good character, it pains me so much that Jaune is just constantly thrown all across the screen in the show, i've seen people who criticizes this show with very valid points (known examples are FatManFalling and Vexed Viewer), but i always felt like they were a bit too harsh on Jaune. For someone who has barely any combat knowledge, he holds himself pretty well. The problem starts when his dull personality kicks in, remember when Jaune almost sounded serious at the beginning of Volume 4? Just so that he ruins it by saying that JNRR sounds better? Those little things ruins a potential of a good character like Jaune. I get that team RWBY should be the main focus, but Jaune deserves to have his times to shine in the show as well, and Oscar... oh Oscar... Let's just not talk about the kid who is just a living conveniency with no personality. (Also... am i the only one who wishes for team JNPR in this game? >.>)
Richard Vincze while I agree ruby does need more development than Jaune side characters having development isnt a bad thing and it makes the story better like todoroki from my hero itachi from Naruto or Levi from AOT but yeah the main character should get development before the side characters
I know Hakumen and Jin are the same person. But seriously disagree with Hakumen sounding too similar to his younger counterpart. He suppose to sound more older and mature than Jin
It’s possible if there’s a season 2 but all the characters that will be coming are already known for now. All that’s left is mai, nine, yuzuriha, akihiko, mitsuru, labrys, merkava, izayoi, and mika. Personally mai and mika should’ve been replaced with more iconic characters but...as an earlier comment mentioned Stupid ass Lolis and waifus come first.
joker the ninja cat Harlequin: a mute character in traditional pantomime, typically masked and dressed in a diamond-patterned costume, also a small duck of fast-flowing streams around the Arctic and North Pacific, the male having mainly gray-blue plumage with bold white markings. Niether of those resembles Rachael. Rachael is a rabbit because of her hair.
I guess at this point, the matching voices is one hell of a late arrival spoiler, but having Jin's normal voice but modulated is so odd to me. I expected the more baritone voice from the past games to make it's return, but I guess not.
To make a long story short; he knows that Ragna has the potential to turn into something called the Black Beast; a creature that ravaged the Blazblue world roughly ~90+ years ago in its lore. Hakumen and other warriors called the Six Heroes managed to defeat the Beast, but much of the life on Earth had suffered. Hakumen wishes to prevent another coming of the Black Beast, which means eliminating Ragna.
even still theres nothing wrong with this one i get liking a voice but calling it bad just because it doesn't sound like the old one doesn't make sense to me
One Punch Fish It's not bad, just where's the filter that made Hakumen well... Hakumen? He sounds more like Jin (Since it is Jin. I know.) it's just odd ya know?
I’m glad they used Hakumen’s old voice from Calamity Trigger and Continuum Shift. His new dubbed voice from beyond that was ugly. Didn’t even sound like he was “Jin” anymore.
That was only in Chronophantasma actually! In Calamity Trigger and Continuum Shift, Hakumen's voice was always more like Jin's. Which makes sense because. Well. It's Jin.
0:17-0:21 Right there. I would just add "compromised" in there somewhere :) Hakumen is cautioning players to not get too influential otherwise they might spill cranbebby juice on their suits. Trans-parents-see. I've never seen that before. From 0 to compromised lol. Dismiss this comment, it's very meaningless :) However, I feel I can understand Hakumen's sentiment on a deeper, different level :) Gibberish aside, he was the scariest person to fight, especially when powered up. Countless times I lost with one hit to his counter super. It was a good feeling to finally beat him. Games are surprisingly good teachers about life since they teach you how to fight against evil geniuses and overcome challenges with skill against machiavellian boss systems with disproportionate questionable advantages.
Epsy Blue Gameplay wise? Probably like he is but with more normals, presumably high tier. Story wise? Probably play the same role as Kagura. Good person with some quirks, really strong, would probably get a bit more respect than Kagura.
Yu I meant story wise, like MercurialSpider mentioned. What would his drive be? What's his weapon/armagus? What's his role in the story? How powerful is he compared to the other Blazblue characters? That sort of stuff.
I like to imagine that he would still be roughly the same character, but from a story standpoint he would go out of his way to avoid conflict wherever possible, opting instead to look deeper into things. Jin would be annoyed at how annoyingly preachy he gets. He'd probably work in the intelligence department of wvico, as a quirky npc that. He'd probably be an NPC, with his character often being a comic relief, with his weirdness tolerance and deadpan comments being turned up to 11, even in the most strenuous situations.
Time displaced version of Jin whose body was mangled by the boundary so bad to the point that the only way for him to survive was for Rachel to bind his soul to the Susanooh armor suit.
agidyne967 Hakumen was sealed in a place called the boundary and was recovered roughly 90 odd years from his initial trapping. To put this in perspective mearly contacting it as the average person will either completely obliterate you completely or turn you into insane sludge that'll disappear without someone to bind you to the world. Stronger souls even with protection can suffer amnesia just by traversing it. Time works differently in there so what was 90 odd years outside was essentially an eternity for him. That time plus being roughly "salvaged" from there left at at 20ish% of what he once was and Rachel Alucard observing him, helping to bind him to the world, raised it a bit higher. TL:DR Hakumen got trapped in a place that nerfed him, and then got brought out to 20% of what he was, and then got help to make him 30% of what he was.
MercurialSpider 8976 he was trapped, nerfed to high hell, then saved. Huh, kinda more curious about their game now. I’ve only really played P4U and that’s it.
DragoonHero He has a move that can completely erase an enemy from the timeline and he can still perform that move at 20-30% power you tell me how powerful he gets at 100%.
I know this video is 5 years old but, I have no clue how you got your game to look like this. I have been trying for hours to achieve it but no luck. Please tell me your settings :(
Hakumen loves using old words like Harlequin and Grimalkin. Harlequin is a stage character that appears usually as comic relief and is quite witty. Basically he is insulting Rachel by saying she is not serious about this and that she is irrelevant.
At some point in the BlazBlue story, Nu-13 killed Ragna (Jin's brother) and fell into the Cauldron. Jin jumped in after her, got flung to the past, and was completely physically and mentally broken. Rachel found him and slapped his ass into the Susanoo unit, and now he's this thing.
