Love the country square dance sound...the most energetic, mental and physical dance there is...You don't listen to the calls you get lost and left without a partner...
I knew Carole Matthews for a number of years. She told me about working with Tex Harding and Starrett. She and Harding were probably closer in age and usually he wound up being the love interest for her. She made this one and Outlaws of the Rockies with Starrett as well as the Monster and the Ape serial and I Love A Mystery. Did lots of television work as well. She died at 94 in 2014.
To give you an idea of how fast these B westerns were cranked, this film and its successor "Outlaws of the Rockies" were both released on the same date, Sept. 18, 1945. Both films co-starred Tex Harding, Dub Taylor and Carole Mathews. Outlaws of the Rockies however featured Spade Cooley, the King of Western Swing.
Funny you say that, in 1936 Starrett played Greek god Orion in Along Came Love. Cary Grant was knight in shining armour around this time in Bachelor & the Bobby Soxer.
Dub Taylor sure had comedic style...these small productions were friends trying to make a living picture to picture...I worked on sets for two years in the mid 90's...they were a great group of folks...execs however...well,you can figure it out...
Now hold on just a minute. That guy that’s the ring leader who is trying to wreck the railroad 🛤 is the same one who was convicted of murder for land fraud charges. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

🔵JOHNNY MACK BROWN WAS GREAT IN THIS MOVIE, HE USUALLY GETS THE GIRL IN THE END, BUT IN THIS ONE IN THE END HE RODE OFF INTO THE SUNSET WITHOUT THE GIRL.🔴
Episódio da série de westerns B da Columbia com o personagem Durango Kid, interpretado por Charles Starrett. Lançado nos EUA em 18 de setembro de 1945, passou no Brasil como "Desbravadores da fronteira".
I figure you have one of the most conscientious channels out there. I'm an avid follower of your old westerns, I really dig 'em. Just so you know, in the years I've been fooling around with RU-vid, yours is the only channel I subscribe to. I would like to see the credits to this and your other flicks so I know who's in them. As a retired bass player, I'm interested to know who's music group is in this one. They really kick. Can you help?
Since Charles Starrett's westerns were shown throughout the South, many country and western groups were featured. Some were known for their records and others from personal appearances.
"Slide guitar is a technique for playing the guitar that is often used in blues music. It involves playing a guitar while holding a hard object (a slide) against the strings, creating the opportunity for glissando effects and deep vibratos that reflect characteristics of the human singing voice."
🔵WHEN THEY WORK TOGETHER USUALLY JMB GETS THE GIRL THIS TIME TEX GOT THE GIRL. AND JMB DIDN'T LOOK LIKE HIMSELF IN THIS MOVIE, HE LOOK DIFFERENT PROBABLY BECAUSE HE WAS SKINNIER THAN IN OTHER MOVIES.🔴
It seems as tho the writers put Tex Ritter into JMB role because he was a leading singer/actor. It wasn’t a kind action for how JMB made the programs for watching, then Tex steps in and takes over.
Antony Andre' / renaissance artist and artisan ...dont u know? no one had more than one change of clothes back them-& into the 1950s, for many- so changing wasn't easy if they didn't have a woman to do washing for them!
