I fought him with a heavy armor + halberd build with vampirism, Stam leech, lots of Stam and con and it was definitely harder because of much lower dps and many more flights that it made I was at +3 at the time What I did was use the winged bow to engage with the savage shot multishot weapon art every time there was space between me and the boss, doing good chunks of damage. Then did 1-2 halberd swings from the side, always stepping/dashing to its left side as that seemed to be it's weaker one. Only rolling for the big, telephraphed hits and wide wing sweeps. You can dodge roll the meteors if you roll half a second before they hit, taking no damage. For the blasting pillars flight attack (not shown here), just sprint away from the boss Zic-Zac style while avoiding the circles. The hatchlings come swooping down to attack you after each bar section of the boss HP has been emptied. While fighting them, avoid the lasers with a delayed dodge roll every time it fires it up. When you listen closely to the sound effect and got the rhythm right, you don't even need to look at the boss to avoid it and can fully focus on the Youngs. You have to be quick enough dispatching them, because 3 will linger in the air (also not shown here) and if you don't shoot them fast enough, they will merge with the boss and heal it considerably, dragging out the fight. If you use a heavy build with a slow weapon, you will have to hit once then dash a lot, especially with the adds or they will swarm, stunlock and kill you. Using the aberrant knight's weapon skill or ground slam when they are clustered will help you lots. Jaeger's potion is also recommended to get through the 18% sharp damage reduction. Blunt is the most effective damage type. And technomancy is highly resisted, about 80% so don't even think about it without very high penetration.

If someone like me has trouble with this boss and doesnt use the playstyle of OP (light armor/fast weapons), but instead heavy armor and slow weapon - this is how i cheesed the boss: Sheathe your weapon and run around him witthout target locked (WA+shift, or WD+shift) in order to bait the laser attack as it is only attack that gives you safe enough window to swing. I usually go with light attack+heavy combo or running light attack+heavy (if you do only heavy it wil most likely interrupt the laser animation and your dmg window is gone). Special attacks in the air: 1. homing laser - cheese by running behind the building, 2. meteors - cheese by running+dodging or by running behind building, 3. laser barrage - just keep running while avoiding the fields (you can swing at him once when he is in landing animation after this attack so keep close). He summons birds that heal him if not killed, but if you are hiding behind corner a lot of them will land near you, so do not bother with them risking death - take it slow. He may heal, but not to 100% and he never summoned the bird again for me after he healed about 50%.

This boss is broken now after the recent patch...the meteor hitboxes are damn near undodgeable and do big damage now...try it and see
