I've been testing the playback of Bleep, my homebrew music editor for the Game Boy. It's going to be a free music maker with piano-roll style interface, intended to be usable by beginners but powerful enough for experienced trackers. Bleep will be completely free to use for any purpose, and open-source.
Music was composed by flashygoodness. Check out their stuff here! flashygoodness....
So far, there is multi-channel editing and note placement, but there's no instrument editing, effects, or song settings yet. There are also no manual backup saves currently -- the active song lives directly on cartridge RAM, so it's autosaved as you edit! There is a lot of interface adjustment to do, but this is a big step.
Thanks again to flashygoodness for helping me test and prototype things, and for lending musical talents.
