I love that you have done something so detailed and that you have given a steady paced commentary throughout. If I had one request, it would be to say more about why you are doing what you are doing, what is the end goal - something like, we're trying to get this bit to move independently of this, and so we need this kind of empty here to achieve that. That would help a lot to understand the principles - because although I could just copy what you've done if I was rigging the same model, I am a little unsure of how to rig my own suspension which is similar but also quite different too. I'm hoping that as I watch the video several times (I'm on my second viewing) that I can make sense of 'why' you are doing what you are doing, and how to translate that to my own needs.
Hi, thanks for this tutorial series. I found a problem in newer version 2.93, so if someone will have the same problem, here is the solution: if the track to does not work (you can move it with empty, but not with moving the circle, in video somewhere around 19:00), replace track to with damped track. It is the same principle, you chose target and axis, and it works.
at 11:35 when you move the circle empty the u shaped metal piece and the piece that holds the wheel track perfectly but when I do it the u shaped object tracks the other piece toy quickly so it intersects it or disconnects it. do you know what the cause of this might be? managed to fix it by going through the tutorial again. thanks for this tut its amazing earned a sub
When you turned the axle stub, the drive shaft is intersecting the the suspension, are you going to fix that? What about the cv joint because right now the drive shaft is just kind of flapping around and intersecting the axle stub
awesome series, had a few minor beginning issues , but they were caused by not looking at the first video -> the apply of scale and rotation caught me off guard. But all in all I try to apply this to a 6 Wheeled Truck -> front axis is done so far, struggling with the back axis construction right now. One question if you or any reader may know, is this rig usable by a game engine or should i go for bones instead
@@NaturalArtFreak Ah I see. Close enough 😂. Keep up the good work👍🏽!! I will soon start learning blender and I'm looking forward to use your video tutorials👌🏽
this video is basically useless for people who are trying to learn something. You don't explain any of your actions, why you do this and that, nothing.
