In this tutorial series, we will talk about Blender as a solution for 3D Camera and Object Tracking. Step by Step you will learn how to use Blender for preparing your footage in the Video Sequence Editor (VSE) and getting used to the Movie Clip Editor. Then we will cover the important fundamentals of 2D-Tracking in Blender and also some use-cases for directly using these data. Then we build upon these 2D-Tracks and start solving a 3D-Camera and talk about good and bad tracks, nodal shots, tricks like offset-tracking, joining of tracks, and analyzing solve problems. In the final tutorials, we will finish with Object-tracking for props replacement. After this tutorial series, you have a solid understanding of Blender's Camera and Object Tracking and how to use the solved data inside of Blender or in other applications like Maya, Cinema, or Houdini.

Is there a way to go from the timeline to the camera tracker and back again? Like import a movie clip, edit it down on the time line, send that clip to the tracker, track them clip, add your effects, ect, then on the timeline, that clip is still in its position, just replaced with this new tracked shot? Think adobe dynmic link. I can edit take a movie clip, cut it, send it to after effects as a dynamic link, edit, track, do effects in after effects, then back in premiere, it just sees the finished clip from after effects. and i can go back and forth like that. Because currently i have to edit the clips in VSE, then render the clip out, bring that clip BACK in, but into the VFX side, track that shott, VFX, ETC. render that clip with the VFX, and bring that clip back into the VSE... There has to be an easier way... right??? 🤔

For some reason Blender is only importing 30 frames of my tiff sequence. Not sure how what is going on.

Hi, are you sure that you clicked "set scene frames" and the frameamount in the Output properties really show the amount of frames in your sequence. If this is correct then you maybe run out of memory. Have you activated the memory stats in your status bar (right bottom)? Make a right mouse button and take a look while loading how much memory is filled. Be aware that the memory of the MovieClip Editor and the Video Sequencer is limited in the Blender Preferences. So if you have installed enough ram go into the Blender Prefrences, there into "System" and increase the Memory Cache limit. Does it work now?
