All of the new nodes in Blender 4.3 (with some experiments.) It is available on my Gumroad page: gumroad.com/bbbn19 Current projects of mine: / bbbn192 #b3d #geometrynodes
Gizmos look like they will be hard to figure out at first, but I can absolutely see their usefulness. I build large node networks to do engineering visualisation and I can't tell you how many times I accidentally want to grab some geometry in the viewport to manipulate it, and then remember I can't because it's one component among hundreds, contained in the one geometry object.
So many great changes! I think the string space thing would be even better if it was possible to have what you might sometimes see in some forms: A greyed out default. Like, if you relied on many strings for some reason, you could put, say "First Name" "Last Name" "Country" "City" "Street" etc. and it would be a full-width textbox but if you don't put anything inside, it writes out that field name *within the text box* This already happens with, for instance, the string field in Store Named Attribute. - that greyed out "Name" should be setable
I think a nice use case for the For Each and Simulation node combo might be to implement Particle Lenia (look it up if you don't know what that is, it's really fun)
