Blender - Easy Blinking Lights Animation in Cycles and Eevee 

Wow this procedural method is really nice, recently came by the landscape tut by waynard (landscape with zero modelling, just nodes) and now this. Need more procedural tuts!

This is great! The 1 pixel UV thing is a tried and true technique. I was going to do a video like this a while ago but never got to it for more “life gets in the way” reasons. I really like Midge and giving him props is awesome! I’m glad this is gaining traction. Very cool man.

There was a single bulb turned off when you baked the reflections Not that it matters but it's bothering me lol

I always like your videos and watch them regularly . But today I really learnt more than 1 neat trick! The UV trick, the rotation as a way of looping the non-repeating procedural, the individual point and especially the part where you baked the emission to cheat a lighting effect..I don't think I would've thought of this. P.S : I need to remind myself I could change the shape of the reflection "cube" ':)

Man that's a clever way to do it. I had been manually animating dozens of emissions shaders with a noise F-curve modifier to achieve the same effect. Can anyone please explain the purpose of scaling the UV map to 1px points?

i jus want to know in evee mode when i acitvate the bloom option it's does not show up so shiny as yours is it probleme of some adjustement or is it graphic card issue

I have a problem. After adding mapping and texture coordinate bulbs still have this noise texture on and doesnt turn on and off when i slide the color ramp and yes, I set constant mode in color ramp. Please help :(

Great Tutorial! Is there a way to do this so that the light bulbs would act as pixels on a video screen?
