Does it accommodate the Wide Size Jar and what does it come with and what does it cost. I have a blendtec that works fine but it’s noisy really noisy I have put up with it but I saw this cover and really thought this might make my daily whole food Blender drinks quieter.

Hi Kathy - Yes, the 895 will fit the Wild Side Jar. The 895 is a commercial product, so it does cost more than a typical blendtec blender. The colorful plastics that hold the cups do they come with the blendtec blender? Or do we get them separately

I want to buy this but I don't like this cup design. Will a different cup design with the same lid size work ? What's the lid size. The cup I want to use is the u shape boba cups

Can you use paper cold cups ?

If you found the exact size cup it may possible (but we've never tried), but paper cups may not be strong enough to survive the blending process with frozen chunks being blended inside of them.. You may reach out to Blendtec Commercial to see if they have any more info: 800-748-5400

I bought this blender and I'm extremelly disapointed. I can't blend anything with ice or the cups rip ( I tried many different cups, even those booba tea cups are ripping). If I could I would return it because it's a waste of money.

DC&P, you may have to modify your recipe. Sometimes too hard of ingredients (like solid ice cubes or large chunks of frozen fruit) can bounce off the sides of the cup and split it. @gaijinjay I bought SOLO cup brand. They're a stronger cup than other brands. Also leave about 3/4" head space

Mike, so sorry to hear that! That sounds like you got a lemon - the blender should never do that. If you haven't already, contact Blendtec for a replacement. 1-800-748-5400 A side note on the hot soup more - I usually do 2 cycles to get steaming hot soup, I think their timer isn't long enough to make "hot" soup. But it does work and give good results from our testing!

@@EverythingKitchens Thanks for the reply! Yes, I believe I got a lemon... and then another 4 lemons... since every Pro 800 they've sent me has gone up in smoke. Every... single... one.

No!!!!!!!!!! That is so sad 😭 We've even blended office supplies in our lower-end Blendtec blenders with no issues. I've tested many blenders working here and the only other brand that even comes close to Blendtec is Vitamix. Their blenders are nice, but none of the home models have a sound enclosure like Blendtec. As a side note, I know Blendtec has release commercial models with a brushless motor system - I'm wondering if one of those would do better (and hopefully they'll introduce them into home models).

@@EverythingKitchens Totally. I'm almost positive that the commercial brushless model would perform much better. Only catch is it's an additional $1000 beyond the $1000 you pay for the residential model!

Maybe it's time to step into the blender market with some new competition! How hard can it be to make a high quality nice looking base, add capacitive controls or a touchscreen, put in a brushless motor and controller, etc? I suppose the hardest part would be making the carafe. I have no idea how to do that. Just figure these brands are ripe for competition.
