There is a lot of treatments for the symptoms, medications and cleaning, but what is the cause? Is someone deficient in some nutrients? I read where some people take Omega-3 fatty acid because the eye needs the fat to correct the problem. Hundreds of RU-vid websites talk about treatment but not many talk about cure. Some people say that Manuka honey is a natural anti-inflammatory cure and works better than some prescribed drugs (with side-effects).
Thanks for the good information unfortunately I have blepharitis for over 6 months specially on the right eye which makes it red and produce a lot of oil and it burns so they prescribed tobradex ointment and drops but once the course done the problem comes back I keep my eyes hygiene and use warm compress but still never go can you please tell me the kind of meds that I can use for good to make me better Thanks
No, I can't think of a way that blepharitis could cause a scar on the retina. At times, we can see retinal scars but are not sure where they came from.

Six months ago I started getting red, itchy eyelids. I was using the same makeup products as always. I took a few days break from my makeup, and my eyelids went back to normal. I bought new products and started wearing makeup again, and a few months later, it came back. I again took a few days break from makeup, then went back to wearing it and everything was fine until a few weeks ago when my lash line began getting red and mildly inflamed. Throughout these weeks, I have tried five different types of eyeliners, but it seems like putting anything at all on my lash line causes this irritation. How could I be allergic to so many kinds of makeup? Is it just an allergy or more?

I was wondering if you've ever done a video on Chalazions that never 100% resolve? I have MGD and blepharitis. Both my derm and Opto agree. I have a teeny, tiny, itty bitty remnant of a chalazion (or was it a sty) from a couple of years ago. It was never pea sized. Way smaller. BB? It's just above the upper lids and about the size of a pin head. The only time I notice it is if a new eyelash is coming in, the eyelash might feel sore for hours or a day. Absolutely no change in size, color, etc. Pretty much invisible until I pull on my eyelid (which I read helps with MGD oil expression).
We filmed a video on chalazion on our old channel but didn't cover the topic of persistent chalazion. Usually a chalazion will resolve spontaneously but it may take a year or longer. I go get the E-eyes its a IPL treatment it helped me alot but as you say when i pull on the lid i have a chalazion its tiny but there and along my lashline i have small comedones they are white and raised up.... The ipl didnt take away the inflammation i dont know what to do. Help!
I git this blepharitis 6 months ago. I have a lot of trouble because all meds disagreed with me oral, topical and drops prescriptions.I now was my face 2x a day use no makeup any longer.I am doing a warm mask 2 to 3x a day.I use baby shampoo too twice a day to wash my eye lids and also OC u soft wipes.I use Systane preservative free artificial tears.The itching and burning has slowed down alot but my distance vision is still , somewhat , out of focus.Light bothers me .My close up vision is good .My dr did a tear test and said i had tears but put me Xiidra and it bothered me.She then offered me Restasis and i declined because of living alone with a med that could give me more side affects.Now, are there any meds that a sensitive person can use for this blepharitis that can help.Iam must still have inflamation if my distance vision is off some.I am following a good diet no sugar or processed foods.Iam taking an excellent organic Omega 3 vitamin.now about 1800 mg or whatever you call it. I just need to be drinking more water. Even if you cannot advise me thank you for sharing this video.
Coconut oil seems to helping.. The steroids worked and I like the artificial tears, but I really needed something more long term that was going to work. I had to stop using the steroid drops at the 7 day mark.

+Shaneiii4 _ I'm not sure, I haven't heard of using coconut oil before for blepharitis. It is possible to get eye inflammation separately twice in two weeks but I think it would be more likely to be the same episode that never resolved completely the first time.
