Members of Trinity United Methodist Church, DeLand were invited to see the renovations made to their former property, which is now called Northwest Square. Rev. Dr. Todd Bardin gave a blessing at the end of the tour.
Holy God, Divine Architect of us all-
This beautiful space today reminds us that we co-create with you. Each brick reminds us of our strength through you. Each window reminds us of your light that shines through us.
God of Love and Light: we pray that you would bless this space today. Bless each brick, each panel of wood, each nail which has assembled this building. Bless all of the hands and hearts which have built and restored this place. We are so grateful for their gifts. Bless all who have given their treasures in making this day possible.
Each time two or more are gathered in this space, may they sense your presence surrounding them. In gatherings of joy, fill their hearts with happiness, and may this space be filled with laughter. As groups congregate for various occasions, surround them with your peace and comfort.
And we also offer a prayer of remembrance and thanks for the saints whose gifts continue to echo in this place. May their memories continue to bless current and future generations who congregate here. We are so grateful for the years Trinity spent here and we are excited to see what the future holds for both Trinity United Methodist Church and Northwest Square. May this space continue to be one which builds community and deepens relationships.
We ask all this through Jesus Christ, the one who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.
