I was raised in the UMC and the associate/youth pastor we had when I was going through confirmation would always pray, "Our Father or Mother...." This would have been late 1970s and/or early 1980s, so this has been creeping into the UMC for along time. Even at that young age, I knew that was wrong and only prayed as Jesus taught us. Thankfully, I am now in a Bible-teaching, Bible- believing church.
When we flagrantly disobey God’s word, He’ll eventually let us believe a lie and be damned😢. We have a choice and we have God’s Word. He gave us free will to make decisions. The so-called “leaders” are going to have an awful lot of souls to answer for. They have enthusiastically deceived and led souls astray 😢. There is Not going to be a painless ending for what they’ve done. 🙏🙏🙏🇺🇸
During the lockdown when all services were cobbled together on video, a young woman asked us to fold our hands and pray to the goddess Sophia. I am in the process of reading the Bible through for the 13th time. I have yet to encounter a goddess Sophia in my Bible.
I find it fascinating that they demand everyone to respect everyone else's pronoun preference... except God's. God obviously revealed to us He is a He/Him, but they won't respect THAT pronoun preference? Hypocrites...

So, based on the UMCs new code of conduct, Jesus Himself would fall foul of the new code by saying “No-one comes to the Father except through me” Naughty naughty Jesus!
If there are any UMC Pastors who would rather stand on The Word of God and turn your backs on these Fallen Church Leaders then I beg of you, find other United Methodist Church Preachers like yourselves, get together, and if need be break away from the UMC. Perhaps you could call yourselves the “Un-Reformed United Methodist Church” or something along those lines. God Bless you all. A Southern Baptist.
I see. So it's nothing to do with God. It's all about us humans. We mustn't upset anyone. It doesn't really matter if we upset God. What's more important is what's down here on earth. Jesus taught us how to pray; "Our Farther etc etc " so I guess He will be severely reprimanded too for using 'male language' to refer to God. The UMC CANNOT be a church of God. It is Satan's church.
When I started seeing rainbow 🌈 flags,around these churches it told me everything I need to know that they are not of god,but of satanic nature!!it's probably horrible what goes on in these places!!
Maybe this will finally wake up the local churches who have ignored this threat for decades. "Go along to get along" is their motto. I fear the worst is yet to come.

I'm even more thankful now than ever that our church completed its disafiliation! This is terrifying that this level of evil has taken over. I'm so sad to hear this and see what's happening. I'm praying for those churches and church members that are shocked at this level of departure from Christianity. Do not stay! Find a Bible teaching, Bible loving, Our Father, His son Jesus loving church. 🙏
If none of the other things wake my mother up, I pray this does it. My daughter and I were wondering why my mother said something about Hindus and Muslims being in heaven the other day until I saw your video about the Hindu deity on stage. I didn't know about this stuff at the time, but I said to her, "Mom there will be people from every tribe, tongue and nation in heaven but only if they believe in the biblical Lord Jesus Christ. They won't be there if they still believe their false religions." Please pray for my mom Cindy to understand and love the truth and leave the bondage of the UMC and her "healing ministry" there.

Time for the UMC to have a Bible study on the book of Amos. If God punished Judah and Israel for their faithlessness, how much more would he punish us, this side of the resurrection, for the faithlessness of Christ’s church. “For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.” (Romans 1:20 ESV).
@@UnashamedofJesus It's as if believers in the church are becoming lukewarm to the Lord, like the church in Laodicea, because the Lord's people aren't being shown the truth.
The UMC has their Book Of Discipline, the Catholic Church has their Catachism. We have the BIBLE! We don't need any denominations own doctrinal books. The Bible teaches we are NOT to add or take away from God's Word!
But, the Bible is so open to interpretation. My grandmother thought, "...spare the rod and spoil the child..." meant it was OK to slap her children in the face. My mother, on the receiving end of a number of slaps, thought the verse meant don't strike your children. And versions of the Lord's Prayer (sins, debts, or tresspasses) depends on Bible translation and theology.
If you stay with this church and continue going there and still don't believe in what there doing you are just as guilty as they are get out while you can please in the name of Jesus 9:43
Sad to see this happening. It doesn’t surprise me though. This has been building up for years. Wish there was more love and more knowledge about Methodist history and Church history in general.
The UMC doesn't have to come up with its own replacements of the Lord's Prayer and the Apostles' Creed. Two United Church of Christ ministers have already written them. One is "the Lord's Prayer for Transgender Awareness" by Kim Sorrells and the other is the "Sparkle Creed" by Rachel Small-Stokes.

From 3:50-5:15 sounds like vice principals at the inner city middle school I taught at telling the 11-15 year olds how to behave with each other at school. For this to be adults, at a church leaders gathering is mind boggling for me to hear.
Many Methodist churches have disaffiliated from the UMC and either joined the Global Methodist Church or gone independent. My church voted, by a large margin, to go with Global.
Amen, the UMC makes it difficult to disaffiliate....they basically bankrupt the local Churches by stealing their property and buildings.... this is why many are still stuck their.... God bless
God, as Creator, already described His code of conduct. He didnt invite any changes in His Word? Methodist tent meetings helped civilize and spiritualize the old West frontier in a big way? This is a sad departure from the Word?
When any of you enter Heaven and meet John Wesley for the first time, don't ask him, "You're John Wesley? Weren't you the founder of the United Methodist Church?" He'll likely respond, "I wish that people would quit reminding me of this."
Apparently, Hebrews 13:8-9 doesn't apply to UMC. People also think God's love comes with no conditions but it does. "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, This is the first and great commandment" “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.” “If you keep not my commandments, the love of the Father shall not continue with you.” “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.” "If ye love me, keep my commandments." This is what happens when you abuse the definition of love, you get carried away into strange doctrines.
Do like I do just Follow Jesus the Holy Spirit will teach you what Jesus taught in the Bible. The Holy Spirit will teach you all things. I am not a protestant nor catholic
I was once a Methodist but decided to take instruction and did indeed become a Roman Catholic. Catholicism is the exact opposite of what I was told. Instead of its teachings being restrictive and oppressive ... they are open and liberating.
@@UnashamedofJesus I'm presently part of an EFCA church... we have a bit more autonomy at the local level. Our pastor is great... our Elder board is solid, and we work to keep things accurate to scripture.. even if it's not always fun. We've had some folks leave because we didn't participate in "I'm OK, You're OK".... but in love denied their membership application until a situation was corrected. Despite this, the church is growing gradually, as attendees are learning scripture the way it was written... even the "mean parts".

@@UnashamedofJesus The UM prohibit touching and hugging in the name of respecting personal space. Many sinners hesitate to go to church because they don't know anyone there. They are sad and lonely. If the rule is everyone respect "their" space eg no one sits next to you in a pew or no one ever smiles at you, you feel even worse and you never come back. People without a home yearn for one. If you see someone new ar church, shake their hand, hug them and say sit by me. That's what I mean.
For 2000 years, the followers of Christ have understood these commandments. Now, these people believe they know better. They seem to forget that the law and wisdom was already written before Christ was born. They like to use red letter reasoning to justify there teaching by saying that Jesus never said what was or wasn't a sin. They seem to either ignore or don't know that Jesus said he came to fulfill they law not replace it.
I am 35. When I was VERY young, 3,4 ish, I remember us having some hippie circle dance, and the old ladies saying it was sinful 😂 I just imagine what their houvhts would be now

The defining buzz word should be: Malarkey. I noticed the requirements were given for conference behavior, I did not hear that they were church-wide. Who knows what will happen? I do know that the more members are alienated, the less funding will be coming in. That is grim for a church.
My guess with most cult groups is they create their own new translation of the Bible...there are already alot of Liberal Woke translations out there, I'm sure they will adopt one of them...God bless
Everything that was written 200, 300, or 1000 years ago is going to sound anywhere from archaic to ancient. The Apostles Creed ? The Lord's Prayer, the King James Bible, John Wesley and the Wesley brothers ? I guess this makes Episcopalians and Anglians archaic. We did not get rid of The Apostles Creed. No one tells me which version or translation of the Bible to read. Help! Someone needs to straighten us out.

How can they/them, him/her call the denomination “CHRISTIAN”when they/them, His/her do not believe in Christ!!! The code of conduct is mandated by God and we are to Obey Gods word!,! This social group does neither, just another cult.
Yesterday, we had a Mother's Day sermon. We prayed the Lord's Prayer, as it was written by Henry VIII. (I learned that from watching "The Tudors.") But, my church had a seminary intern back in the 1970s who believed that God is a father for men, and a mother for women. I could hear his wife saying, "Our Mother, who art..." The problem with that is many women I know are closer to their fathers than their mothers. I'll be the first to say that I act more like my mother than my father.
@UnashamedofJesus We had a very liberal senior pastor, who used to preach against the war in Vietnam and Richard Nixon, with a congregation that was probably 80+% Republican and full of veterans. He hired a lot of "hippy dippy" interns. The next pastor was less liberal, although he did belong to the ACLU. His first intern was an Air Force veteran who, upon graduating from seminary and being ordained in the UMC, was going back into the Air Force as a chaplain. His next intern, who started out as a UMC pastor, eventually left the itinerant ministry to become a professor at a Baptist seminary, and later the president of the seminary. My guess is that his conservative streak is what caused his wife to divorce him, go to seminary, and become an uber-liberal UMC pastor.
Although your ultimate conclusion may be correct, it is important to listen to the “exact” words she spoke. “Be respectful of the choice of language that is used, including avoiding exclusively male language for God.” Just as taking a verse out of context and eisegesis are bad, so too is misrepresenting what she actually said. She did not say that people: can not; shall not; will not; are not allowed to; use male language for God. She said be respectful (to others) of the choice of language that is used (their choice of language and your choice of language), including (those who choose to avoid) exclusively male language for God. She may seem to suggest that all people should avoid exclusively male language for God, but does not specifically say that. I fully agree that if (when is more like it) the UMC continues to bow to mankind’s desires, (some are uncomfortable using the word father due to childhood trauma and upbringing) it will result in sliding further and further down the apostasy slope. Changing the Lord’s Prayer; the words of institution for baptism; Jesus’ many references to the Father are certainly on the to-do list. It’s already happening in other mainline denominations. There is no such thing as a progressive Christian; for the progressive loves the world and the things of the world (including themselves) and have not the Father.
To speak Male pronoun language in the UMC is considered offensive due to their adoption of Liberal Progressive Wokeness....they will remove it eventually... God bless
@@UnashamedofJesus The local UMC pastor (female) just a half mile from my home, refuses to use “Father”. How she leads the congregation in the Lord’s Prayer, etc. is beyond me. She refuses to glorify the perfect Father and His perfect love for His creation. If the congregation (a conservative rural church) accepts her behavior, it will quickly bring about the permanent closure of the church building.
I am not a UMC member, I am a Northern Ireland Methodist and would dissociate from their doctrine. However, would take issue on one point- John Wesley did NOT teach sinless perfection. His use of the word perfect had, for him, a different nuance.

You are entirely wrong. Your premise is incorrect. It was a code of conduct for "this general conference", not for the UMC. Therefore, the rest of your argument is flawed. We're still saying The Lord's Prayer. It is not banned from the UMC and never will be.
The UMC has had a wonderful General Conference in which they have embraced their mission to welcome ALL into theKingdom. That, after all, was the mission of Jesus and John Wesley.
Jesus said "Repent and Believe the gospel" (Mark 1:15) Jesus also said "Repent or Perish" (Luke 13:3) Jesus also said "You must be Born Again or you wont see the Kingdom of Heaven" (John 3:3) None of this was preached at the UMC Conference
1 Corinthians 6:9-10 “9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God.”
Dear friend, You do not understand John Wesley's beliefs regarding sanctification and perfection. Wesley did not believe that perfection meant one would not sin. He simply meant that a person could be perfected in love, and have Christ-like love for God and neighbor. I am an ordained elder in the UMC. I am thoroughly versed in Wesleyan theology. The UMC deserves condemnation for the radical, ungodly shift in sexual ethics. I will be separating from the UMC soon. But please do not misrepresent Rev. Wesley and his beliefs.
Sir, you clearly have no understanding of sanctification or holiness, Jesus said "You must be Born Again" (John 3:3) To remain in your sin is evidence you are not regenerated or saved, the Liberal Woke gospel of the UMC is a road to Hell....Repent or Perish (Luke 13:3)
