The hosts said the order that they'll announce which countries will qualify for the finals is random, but I doubt that. They knew Finland put the best performance, so they saved the best for last! It can't be a coincidence that Finland would be announced last, and the whole arena started chanting "FINLAND, FINLAND, FINLAND..." before the announcement
Something like this is very rare too. Crowd normally is split between their own favorites. I don't think I ever saw arena crowd unanimously start chanting for a specific country.
Italy and Finland reached the highest level of votes by the public. It seems public have the better music sense than the jury. I can only imagine the faces of the jury when they saw the points by the people.

Finnish dude here. For me Italy's song was nothing special, I forgot it as soon as I heard it and I was very surprised that you won. But congratulations nonetheless
I love how when they were announcing what countries were going through and Finland hadn't been named at the end, the audience just started cheering them on and the rest went quiet. It was hilarious lol. Happy they made it.

Rock is too old style for Eurovision, I don't think Finland will have high result in Final, it's too far from their 2006 year level. Good try for them, I don't like rock, but this song is good. They might win another Song Competition, but not the Eurovision.
Duuuuude. How couldnt they win the whole thing? Hands down one of the best music and performance combo in Eurovision history. And dare I say, its better than most of the winners in 2010s.
I wish Turkey would join. I miss them... But TRT (Turkish Radio and Television) stated that Turkey won't join as long as there's Big 5... and Jury votes I think?
The best thing is that they make their own music them self, and this is not just an Eurovision project managed by big international hit factory... And that really makes the difference here in a good way...

My favorite moment of the show tonight.Serbian host who transcribed Eurovision for Serbians shouted out “hell yes” when Finland was chosen.I completely agree with her. Love this song.
On the last pick I was like don't tell me finland didn't pass, and then the audience started shouting finland as well, so glad they did pass, amazing song

They didn't win because this song is too good for eurovision. They're above this. Also they're my personal winners because thanks to eurovision they became my favourite band now.
True, I am portuguese and Portugal legit deserved better, at least in top 4-5, they were original. But between this and Italy, if there is one that deserved better was this.

That energy and performance its so good. I think this is really winner. By far the best perfomance in this year's Eurovision. Not to mention the whole energy they give out, the beat and the singers. There's no way they won't win. All the love and support from Greece
@@fredsan_ not only the song is important. Italy's performance was the best in the festival so far. They knew how to move in the stage and I think that influenced too. Anyways I'm happy that a rock song won, they deserved it
@@petarthecodehunter3333 I'm Polish national and I'm afraid the broadcaster in Poland always sends the crappiest song/performer, just to make sure , that they will not need to organize next EV contests in Poland :P There was only one good song in 1994 , when Poland joined EV for a first time , but as this song "almost" won (2nd place) ... they decided not to do that kind of mistakes anymore :)

I'm obsessed with that song. It makes me headbang everytime I listen to it, even when I'm alone in my room. It's just so good. Finnish rockbands are one of the best ones (it comes from someone who grew up listening to HIM, The Rasmus and Nightwish).

As a rock/metal fan it's absolutely refreshing to see not just Finland but also Italy representing the genre. I am from Greece and ever since I saw Lordi back in 2006 I got enchanted by the genre. Wishing you best of luck and hopefully we will all join you in the DARK SIDE! 🖤🇬🇷🤘
