It never fails to make me laugh that Hansi looks like he's about to inform me of the different types of savings bonds available

Why does it feel like Hansi looks like the most everyday guy ever. Like, he could be your uncle or your boss. But he happens to be the frontman for what is arguably the best metal band of all time (if not the best band period). I also want to know his vocal range. I've heard so many estimates, one of the most prevalent being 8 entire octaves. I want to buy that so badly. In any event, his vocal control is amazing. Just goes to show that you can never judge a book by its cover.

Hansi looks like he just finished his shift bartending at Olive Garden and didn't have time to change before the video shoot.

I originally heard this band with The Bard's Song. SO glad I let RU-vid auto-play. They're quickly becoming a new favorite. :)

I always thought Hansi's voice, like Samsons strength, was magic powers bestowed upon him from the long hair. Turns out I was wrong.

Love this song or hate it, no one in their right mind can deny the awesome power of Hansi's voice. It is truly legendary, no matter the musical style.

Blind Guardian is the best power metal band, period. I have never been more grateful and happy to be part of this world of power metal. :) Oh and before anyone tells me to go off listening to Helloween, Angra, Symphony X, Iron Savior, Avatansia etc etc...well, you get my point. Good day people. :)

That's the first time that I listen to metal, and I already love it

I saw Hansi during their last North American tour in Houston, TX.. He was very accommodating to all of his fans that met him despite being exhausted from he concert and I am very proud to have met him. Thank you Hansi and Blind Guardian for a great experience.

This was the first song I ever heard from BG. It was on a Nuclear Blast video DVD. Still one of my favorite songs today.

Isn't it unbelieveble how such songs fit to both "Medieval" settings like The Lord Of the Rings, and Futuristic ones, Like Star Wars? This music is ETERNAL.

Saw them live in Prague in december and boy werent they amazing! i love BG since Nightfall but seeing them in person was even better than studio versions!!

blind guardian is so amazing. they are without a doubt the best power metal band ever. they are so good that even people who hate power metal still love them. also, if you havent had the chance to see them play live... make sure you do it at some point. they are even BETTER live. their studio albums dont do them justice.

Guardian can convert you. :) In the 90's I was pretty much all grunge-alternative and industrial, but when I was 19 or 20 (13 years ago... good lord....) I saw a Newgrounds flash that used "Bard's Song", and Blind Guardian introduced me to more power/epic metal like Rhapsody and Iced Earth, and this has been my type of music ever since.

The main reason I love this song is because it brings new epicness while keeping the spirit of the old style Blind Guardian songs. For me it's like it's a hidden track from Imaginations from the Other Side. It's awesome! (plus it's about Song of Ice and Fire, I'd been waiting for years for BG to make a song about it XD )
