OMG! Because of what happened, Blind Melon never really got a fair chance to reach their potential and this remarkable song sort of got forgotten. I lived in Lafayette IN in the early 90s. Lafayette has 2 musical claims to fame. Izzy and Axl are from there, and that kinda went off the rails. And Shannon Hoon. Thank you Joe. You're preserving the legacy of a song that didn't get enough credit, and honoring Shannon in a way that not only acknowledges his talent but his tragedy. And both are important.
