I've followed Home Free since their appearance on The Sing Off. I've seen hundreds of reactions to their songs on YT. Yours is easily the most earnest, unabashedly joyful one I've come across. You can't hide happy. Keep it up!
There's nothing wrong with fangirling. I'm a 54 yr old man and I've been fangirling over them since I first heard "Man of Constant Sorrow" a year and a half ago. On a side note they soothe and satisfy my autism like no musician has since David Bowie. Thanks for the great reaction.
So happy to see coming back to react to Home Free again. I subscribed to your channel when you did your first reaction to Home Free. The Home Fries tend to flock to new Home Free reactors and support them as they go down that Home Free rabbit hole. What a great video to come back to the guys with. This is one of my favorites. Loved your reaction and it's perfectly natural to "fan girl" over them. Check out their cover of Delta Dawn featuring Brooke Eden. There are just so many great covers that they have done and the list continues to grow. Also they have created many original songs. Back during the lock down they did a "Sea Shanty" medley which went viral. As a result of that the game company Ubisoft contacted them and asked if they would be interested in writing an original sea shanty for their game, "Skull and Bones". Adam Chance stepped up and created their sea shanty entitled "Skull and Bones" which is fantastic. Check out their music video of that. Also their live performance of the Sea Shanty Medley. What ever you react to next I'll be looking forward to watching.
This group is amazing! They do use layering along with some electronic effects like reverb and echo. In concert they freely admit and even demonstrate how they use a loop machine to allow members to add some beat boxing in addition to their vocals.
In my opinion Home Free is the best a capella group out there and I'm a product of 60s and 70s and a big fan of the Dooby Brothers they did a great rendition of this American classic.
I think this was released in '22. The original came out in 1972, (I was 16) so a really cool 50 yr tribute. Appreciate the genuine enthusiasm in your reaction and completely agree. They are awesome! You've got good taste :)
No need to apologize for the emotion they evoke with their exceptional vocalization that makes you think instruments and insane harmonies are all happening at times you are not expecting or prepared to encounter as they bring the words alive in way you have never heard before. Their arrangements are sensationally good and they own the presentation in a new way that just wow you!!! They simply take a cover and make it new and make it better every time. The capability of excellence by each of the individuals in this group is off the charts awesome that allows them the flexibility to do so many types of vocalizations and to do it exceptionally well. I have not found a genre they are afraid to tackle whether individually or as a group they are amazing. Then top that off with their arrangements that augment the presentation to be "Home Free" owned. Fun reaction and yes you are allowed to be "fangirling", it simply can't be helped....... ❣
Home Free brought me to your channel and I have enjoyed your first 3 HF reactions. So you just got yourself a new subscriber 🙂 Much love from a Danish🇩🇰 Home Fry
My favorite reactors, react, lol. Don't be afraid to be honestly you! It's the shock and awe that Home Fries watch reactors for. Because these guys are just impossibly talented. We love to see some one genuinely new to their wonder.
Great reaction! Love HF! They are known for their harmonies and I think it was Adam Rupp (beatboxer) doing the majority of the sounds along with the bass Tim Foust. That’s who I heard the most anyway. So freaking good. Love them!
Great reaction, Jessie! Home Free is my favorite a capella band! I've seen them live, and they are amazing performers! In fact, I have tickets to see them again next month. Austin (the lead in this video) has left the group. HF just released a new yt video featuring their new singer. It's a cover of Bonnie Raitt's "Let's give them something to talk about". The new singer doesn't miss a beat and fits in great with the rest of the guys!
Love your home free reactions, hope you do more Home Free. I’ve been a fan of there’s since they where on the Sing Off in 2913 and won it. I’ve seen then live a few time as well and there better live. Check out there live sing off performance. So good
This is one of my feel good wake up songs. It's one of my favorites of theirs and on my daily playlist. Austin may sing lead but Adam Rupp steals the show with his vocal percussion work. Adam has quite a range and sings tenor when all of them harmonize, so he is responsible for the higher of the two guitar sounds. The lower guitar sound is courteous of Chance (baritone/bass). Glad you enjoyed it.
I am a die hard Home Fry and new subscriber…..they are my favorite group by far! They have the best harmonies and the best beatboxer in the business! Great reaction; more Home Free please! BTW, I love the name of your channel! Have a great day! ❤
Good evening from South Africa. If you check out their live concert recordings you will find that sometimes Adam Rupp(beatboxer) actually layers some thins in to do what he do best, which is messing with our minds 🤣
One of the reasons they they sound less like a vocal quintet and more like instruments is the electronic audio processing of their vocals. Lots of effects being added.
U ought to hear them in real life! Adam Rupp is a beast beat boxer. Hes got some live vids on here you can find and checkout 😉 enjoy Homefree. I certainly have over the yrs. So much so that Ive seen them live a few times. Austin the lead in that one has just left but he was replaced by another amazing high tenor Adam Bastion. Now theres 3 Adams lol. They have a huge library to check out and none bad so get to it 😂.
J - Thanks for checking this out. After your enthusiastic reaction to HF several months ago ("Man of Constant Sorrow" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tpP1Mvgs8BM.html ), I knew you'd enjoy this one...and you've only scratched the surface! Corker_X
“Brothers in Arms “ is a must see and listen also “Helplessly Hoping” and “ Misty mountains” with Peter Hollens featuring Tim Foust from HomeFree watch this one first before watching this next suggestion “Mayday”. ENJOY
@@flowersafterrainfall How about scheduling it for Veterans Day (November 11) instead? It's worth the wait. Patriot's Day is only celebrated in 6 states, during April. Maybe you meant "Patriot Day" (9/11 remembrance)...but that doesn't relate to military combat. Sadly, given the current U.S. military involvement in eastern Europe and the middle east, "Brothers in Arms" could become relevant at any moment. Corker_X
A great reaction that was so fun to watch, even though I have watched and listened to Home Free for years. You made this fun again. I think I will subscribe if you promise to react to more Home Free. 😎
@@flowersafterrainfall I will check you out. But to tell the truth, I already subscribed because this reaction was one of the best ever. In so many ways. "Well done" wouldn't be correct because you didn't really try to "do" anything. You just perfectly reacted to what your musical soul was telling you. I didn't mean to gush on you, but I am just so happy watching you be happy. thanks
Love the singing, love the beatboxing, love the other sounds, hate the "bassguitar". That sounds just ugly. If you wanna have a good music, do not mimic the instrument in such u poor way by using voice. Othervise it is just a gimmick. That is why I do not listen to most of acapella bands. Some sounds are just fake. It is like playing a wooden saxophone. You do not make saxophone of wood, it must be made of metal to sound good.
