Blind Reaction to every Digimon Anime Opening 

Yeah Biggest Dreamers(the Tamers OP) is a really good song,, and there are two openings that weren't in this, the remakes opening and ghost games opening.

That 02 opening is the second version, that they had after Ken and Wormmon joined. Has the same song as the original opening, just with changes in the animation.

Technically, these are some openings that you miss since the original video covered up to Tri, so it is not all Digimon openings to the current time. The openings you forgot to react are Digimon Universe Appli Monsters OP 2, Digimon Adventure 2020, and Digimon Ghost Game. Still, these openings are so good.

I am sooo glad, that in Germany we kept the Japanese opening style in music and rhythm. I was horrified as I watched and listened the first time to the English version :D I don't really hate it, but for me, it would always be the german or Japanese version... mostly the german of course because of the nostalgic factor, but the Japanese is badass too

RIP Koji Wada who involved, composed and sang many Digimon’s Openings as well as Endings. He died on April 3, 2006, five days after the release of Seven〜tri. Version〜 for Digimon Adventure tri.

Rest in Peace to *Kouji Wada* as he made & sang OP songs from *Adventure* to *Frontier* consequtively and then made OP2 for *Savers* then I believe the *Tri* OP is his last OP song for Digimon before he left us forever. His insert songs for the Digimon franchise are also godly. Again, RIP.

Note on the later forms shown in the Digimon OP. The visuals for the openings change slightly as new digivolutions showed up in the series, so if I recall correctly most of these are the final versions of the opening visuals for the shows. This is also a trend you can see in the Tokusatsu openings you watched to a degree as new forms or suits for the characters will be added in later as well. Kamen Rider specifically, as the main series I've followed, may also choose to use the second verse or an alternate version of their opening song alongside the new visuals.

Digimon was actually originally licensed though Saban for it's English dub.

about the opening spoiling the story. this is actually not the case, since the opening changes through out the series. they will add any new power up or story elements to the opening when it is debuted/appear on the series. so all you've seen in the opening is probably all near end of the story.

The transformation sequence from the second Xros Wars OP is so good. I love it.

So that lady in 02 IS a Digimon. She's an Arachne called Arukenimon, and her partner that she's usually with is Mummymon. So basically the plot of Digimon Frontier is that several kids are transported to the Digital World by the train Digimon, Locomon, in hopes that the "Digidestined" are on board and will find the Ancient Spirits so that they may fight against the main antagonist of this series, Lucimon. Basically kid Lucifer trying to turn the entire Digital World into data. Also, the wolf guy with the light sabers that you liked is called Lobomon. Digimon Savers was intended to be geared more towards a teenage audience so that's one of the reasons why they used that sort of art style. For Digimon Xros Wars, the Xros can be pronounced as Cross since they're obviously fusing, hence why the english adaptation is called Digimon Fusion. The red Digimon is called Shoutmon. The 3rd opening you saw is the very short crappy 3rd season of Xros Wars which its main defining moment was that crossover that you spoke about. Digimon Universe, ok so the weird thing is the monsters are technically NOT Digimon, but things called Appmon. Basically monsters based off aps. Although there is an episode where Agumon shows up, but its an Agumon from those little Tamagotchi toys. So Hikari is a pretty common girl's name, just letting you know. A lot of Japanese names sound weird when translated lol. I had a friend named Yume back in high school, so as a joke I would occasionally call her Dream. The third OP for Xros (cross) Wars threw you off because it is, effectively, a different series. Xros Wars was a normal 50-some episode series where about halfway through it becomes Xros Wars: The Evil Death Generals and the Seven Kingdoms (second OP). The story is concluded at the end of the second arc with the defeat of the main villain as you'd expect. Then begins Xros Wars: The Young Hunters Who Leapt Through Time, a sequel series (timeskip and new protagonist et al) which due to its brief 25-episode run is often lumped together with the previous Xros Wars. Young Hunters completely changes the premise (there is no war in this Xros Wars) as well as the rules around evolution, DigiXros and partner Digimon. It's so different, that much of its conceptual identity was easily repackaged into Appmon (and done better).

the 02 opening was its second opening after Ken stopped being the Digimon Emperor, which added Ken to the line up with the kids, his crest of kindness with the other crest at the beginning, Stingmon behind Wormmon, Arukenimon and Mummymon as the new villains, and the Ultimates and Megas forms of the 02 digimon.

The lady with the blue hair in 02 was treated like a Digimon because she was a Digimon. Arachnemon in a humanoid form. She shows her Digimon form in the series.

Wormmon's evo to Stingmon is actually not shown in the original version of the second season's opening, it was originally the Digimon Emperor, the compilation seems to just use the latest one which is taken from a later part of the season Edit : The final evos are also not shown in the original opening

For me the digirap became way to repetitive through out the seasons to a point where in tamers I was sad they remove sakuyamon's one vision theme for the rap song and im like nah it dosent fit at all sakuyamon had a beautiful one vision theme and well they changed it in the dub which made me not like the over repetitive theme I like at least in the JP the themes changes and some had unique themes.

These versions are actually the final versions where they reveal the digivolutions, but the original have them all hidden in the background. Also, this one excludes the opening for Digimon Ghost Game, so I do wonder what you'd think of that one.

for the opening of the second season, that's the second version of the OP. they didn't really spoil stuff, the original opening is almost identical, but they did minor changes to it after ken's redemption arc. They just included ken and wormmon in all scenes, removed a scene of the digimon emperor and included the non armor evolutions. And by the way, you missed the last two openings, the latter being from the season currently airing, Digimon adventure 2020 opening and Digimon Ghost Game opening.

in the opening of 02, you saw version 2 of it, in the first it's just Wormon itself, and they turned their two armor forms, instead of the champion

some of the spoilers were probably blacked out I know in the tamers one the evos where blacked out until they happened in show

So, fun fact about that first opening and the in show OST in brazil we got a BR portuguese cover of the american opening BUUUUUT the OST inside the show was unchanged, we'd get the japanese ed song; We'd get butterfly playing during certain moments, as well as the original digivolution theme (I actually forget if it was butterfly or another song called braveheart... might be misremembering overall) it was a super weird contrast.

Actually They Updated the opening, so if you compare the opening in the first episode and the last episode, it will be different (like the form, villain, etc) and as I watched your reaction videos, you always react to the opening in the last 1 or 2 episode, so it will has a lot of spoilers

to be honest, yagami in digimon writes as "八神" instead of "夜神", they just has the same pronunciation, but writs completely different, it's rather common to see the same pronunciation but writes different in kanji. If you every played Street Fighter, the Yagami in there also writes as "八神", also "Ya" usually refers to 8, and 八 is 8 in Chinese and Japanese.

About the Openings! 1) Butterfly (Digimon Adventure) This opening lacks variants, it stays that way since the beginning, but if you watch it in the japanese version, the second ending (Keep On), spoils you that Hikari (Kari) is the 8th Chosen Children (DigiDestinied), Tailmon (Gatomon) is her partner and all the Perfect (Ultimate) and Ultimate (Mega) evolutions of the remaining children. "Keep On" replaces "I Wish", as the new ending, in episode 27 onwards. Remember that we don't know that Hikari is the 8th Chosen Children until episode 34. 2) Target (Akai Shougeki) (Digimon 02) This opening has two variations. In the first 25 episodes, Ken as the Digimon Emperor is the villain and showed the Armor evolutions, including Submarimon, Lightdramon (Raidramon) and Shurimon. Starting from episode 26, the opening adds Ken, Stingmon, XV-mon (ExVeemon), Ankylomon and Aquilamon in the opening, but also spoils you about Paildramon, Silphymon, Shakkoumon and Imperialdramon in both forms. This also happens with the second ending, Itsumo Itsudemo, where Paildramon, Silphymon, Shakkoumon and Imperialdramon (Both forms) are spoiled and who are the respective pairs of children. "Itsumo Itsudemo" replaces "Ashita wa Atashi no Kaze ga Fuku", as the new ending, starting in episode 26. Remember, Paildramon, Silphymon, Shakkoumon and Imperialdramon and Imperialdramon (Fighter Mode), don't appear in the series proper until episodes 26, 31, 36, 39 and 43. Also, the second variant of the opening spoils you about Mummymon (Ep 29) and BlackWargreymon (Ep 30) if you pay attention. In the second variant Archnemon (Arukenimon) and Mummymon replace Ken in the opening as the new villains. 3) The Biggest Dreamer (Digimon Tamers) The opening has two variants. The D with the dinosaur corresponds to the japanese logo and appears in the show itself in the Blue Cards, which is in the japanese logo of the opening. Starting from episode 24, the opening spoils you the Ultimate (Megas) of each children, the new Tamers (DigiDestinied) and that Impmon will evolve into Beelzemon (Blast Mode), not the regular Beelzemon, the form he adquires after making ammends with Ai and Makoto, spoiling at the same time, he'll become a good guy, before even we see how he becomes a villain! The second ending (Days (Aijou to Nichijou)) spoils you how Earth looks from inside the Digital World and replaces "My Tomorrow", since episode 24. 4) FIRE!! (Digimon Frontier) The Opening doesn't change, but can spoil you: the Beast Spirit of each children, the evil warriors (in both forms) and Cherubimon and Lucemon in the opening. Staring in episode 27, the second ending (An Endless Tale) spoils you: Koichi, Löweemon, KaiserLeomon (JaggerLeomon), Ofanimon, Patamon (Seraphimon's egg will hatch) and Cherubimon in his angel form. Take considering these revelations doesn't happen until episode 32 onwards! Thankfully they don't spoil further. Also, this opening began with a view of the Digital World from space, with the silhouettes of the Ten Legendary Warriors, the narrator says that: "The Legend of the 10 legendary heroes who saved the Digital World in ancient times, is about to resurrect!" (While an angelical chorus plays in the background), then we see Cherubimon in the darkness and the opening begins! 5) Guoing Going My Soul! (Digimon Savers / Digimon Data Squad) The opening doesn't change, but spoils you the Perfect Level (Ultimate Level) of each protagonist even before Masaru decides to join to DATS. 6) Hirari (Digimon Savers / Digimon Data Squad) This opening adds Ikuto (Keenan), Falcomon and the evolutions of all the protagonists. They're aren't spoilers since this opening debuts in episode 30 (The Megas was in episode 29 and Ikuto joined in episode 22). But instead spoils you the Burst Mode of each protagonist and also that the new villains will be the Royal Knights, considering Kurata was the villain at the point this opening debuts, they spoil you, he'll be defeated ahead of time. 7) Never Give Up! (Digimon Xros Wars / Digimon Fusion) The only opening that never spoils you anything, but it has two variants. When the second variant begins in episode 23, we already saw the additions they are showing. In the second opening it's added: - The Xros Heart Army with every ally they made at this point. - DarkKnightmon is a villain (episodes 15, 16, 17) - Shoutmon X4, Shoutmon X4K, Shoutmon X4B and Shoutmon X5 (Episodes 6, 11, 15 and 17) The first variant (save in episode 1), has a dialogue of Taiki talking about what Digimon are and the war in the Digital World at the very beginning. 8) New World (Digimon Xros Wars / Digimon Fusion) This opening begins in episode 31. Digimon Savers (Season 5) Had the nicest song after Butterfly (Season 1) I really enjoyed it, recommend you watch it at least part way because it's really not bad, not as good as first three but close

thank god in latam and mexico the opening was never had in english, ok from digimon 1 to data squad yes dubbed in Spanish from the Japanese The only official time, at the time we got an opening in English, it was as a background in bandai's digimon 01 toy commercials unfortunately digimon xross did reach us, the gringa version, not only the opening, but the chapters altered by, viz meda? In the japanese version, the viewer has no idea that Archnemon (Arukenimon) is a digimon, until episode 29, this is evidences when she jumps a high distance without an injury. Since her debut in episode 24, until this point the children had treated her as a human.

They didn´t spoil the Stingmon reveal in 02, you just watched the 2nd version... They did change some names, like Gatomon/Tailmon and Omnimon/Omegamon Saviors: technically GeoGreymon, XD In Xros Wars, the 3rd part is 2 years after the other 2 parts, with the MC of the other one being a mentor to a new kid. Digimon Universe Appli Monsters was.... terrible Arukenimon (the creepy lady from 02) was a digimon, but the heroes didn´t find out till she went into her spider mode... Also, surprised you didn´t add Ghost Game and the reboot... although they are almost as bad as Universe.

Sorry, but Butter-Fly is a TRILLION times better than the Digi Rap. But yeah, the second opening to Savers is SOOOO much better than the first. As for Xros Wars, I swear to god if they give us ANOTHER sequel to it…I’m gonna flip a lid. As for the show itself, it takes five episodes to really get going IMO and then it gets REALLY GOOD…only to get boring again about 30 episodes later IMO xD
