This is the newest world record in blindfolded Super Mario 64 speedrunning! The category is 16 Star and the run was performed on June 3rd by Bubzia! The final time is 21 minutes and 13 seconds, an improvement over the previous blindfolded wr by 35 seconds!
The run happened on Day 62 of the sub 20 grind and Bubzia focused a lot on improving and optimizing strategies since then. Most notably is a new route change that includes Logless like in visual pro 16 star speedruns.
Without the unfortunate mistake in Firesea, this would have been a mid 19 minute time which is really crazy to think about. Bubzia will keep grinding though, the goal of a sub 20 16 star blindfolded run is very very close!
