I agree. Once you cross over that $80k mark, it just depends on tastes at that point. The Cadillac comes with certain perks of ownership and at long last has enough differentiation to justify its positioning atop the hierarchy.
the 15k difference between a fully loaded denali and an equally equipped escalade comes out to over $300 a month more (over 60 months at 3.5% financing and 20k down). That's not insignificant. Rich people dont become and stay rich by throwing away their money. Especially if they can get basically the exact same thing for less.
That Denali grill though!! I gotta give the exterior to Yukon. Of course GM isn't dumb enough not to give the Escalade the better interior. I would take the Yukon.
I agree, I just dont like what they did with the headlights on the escalade. All that space and tiny rectangular shaped headlights. They look terrible.
Before watching the comparison, guys! CADILLAC is the one and only majestic luxury icon, period! It is a matter taken for granted by all other cars manufacturers and accepted by them even reluctantly... Escalade!!! it is the KING! Who turns a head on a Denali or Chevy or Ford in a street... It is only Escalade when driven, more royalty given to it when it is in black raven! Thanks Mason and Drew for the review, Cadillac is the only luxury icon...
Range Rover is the true King of Luxury. I have a Yukon Denali and I really don’t see much of a difference between mine and an Escalade besides badging and pricing. Range Rovers are on their own level though. I will keep mine for the reliability though!
That dark colored open pore wood in the GMC Yukon Denali is so beautiful. It reminds me of the beautiful dark wood in my 2020 A6 rental. GM knocked these trucks out of the ballpark!
Great Video. I work with Escalade and really enjoy watching your videos for some info I might forget to mention during a walk around. Cheers to you and your team
LOVE the return of the comparison format! This one was really tricky because as similar as the vehicles are, there is enough to differentiate. I spent a little seat time in a loaded 2021 Denali and it is hard to put into words the quantum leap in refinement and quality it has over the 2020. While it still feels large, the driving experience is far more enjoyable. Better steering makes it less ponderous and obviously the suspension is a galaxy away from the 2020. It is so good, in fact, that I am really curious about the Escalade and its extras.
Somehow, I knew you would be asking this question. First, the Cadillac is, without a doubt, still “ the King” of the suv! There is no comparison to all of the others who try hard. The pinnacle of SUV’s. So to drive one, heads do turn. However, the fact that the GMC Yukon has such high success, style and beauty, my money goes to the Yukon Denali. Thanks Drew and Mason! 🤗👍
I NEED the Yukon Denali. I WANT the Escalade. I think the channel needs a part two for revisit when the Escalade and Yukon Denali are readily available with enough inventory for road test back to back and a clear better analysis of optional equipment ordered from the factory.
I own a Escalade 2020 if I were to buy a 2020 Denali I would be settling for what I do not want, or just don’t have enough $$$for the Escalade plain n simple!!!
Thx for the comparisons on these two giants of luxury, I like both but I'm a Cadillac man all day long. I live in the D.C. Area and when you see The Big Black Cadillac coming down the road it looks presidential and powerful. King of big SUV's.
Can’t thank you enough for this comparison. We’ve been back and forth, and not many outlets out there doing a detailed comparison of the two. Hard to pass up the value on the Yukon, but we’ll probably end up with an Escalade with less options rather than the Yukon fully loaded. Base Escalade likely to retain it’s value better than a fully loaded Yukon.
Thanks for sharing this video 📹. I prefer Cadillac Escalade based on what you getting vs the Yukon. Don't get me wrong the Yukon is a beautiful SUV but it just doesn't have wow factor for me but overall both redesigns are absolutely exceptional. I commend GM for continuing to raise bar when it comes to their brands.
I love them both and would love to have both of them, beautiful job GM! Like the interior of the YUKON. The steering wheel is what I look at because I have to have a 4 prong steering wheel because I cannot hold my arms in a 10/2 position due to my disability so the Tahoe and Yukon are the ones I would have to go with unless it was last generation of the Escalade!
I have a '16 escalade and I'm glad they replaced the column shifter & the turn signals. The Denali has more things included that you have to pay for in the Escalade like the retractable running boards. I think the Escalade looks better
I really like how the Denali combines simplicity with bling, that’s why I’ll take it. I really like the “old school” style of the interior, big screens don’t really get me that excited.
I went with the Denali...wanted it to be a little truckee....Escalade was insane...lots and lots of piano black...beautiful. My pit would destroy 🤙 Both incredible!
I remember years back when customers were complaining that the big chrome rims and the large speakers were too urban and ghetto. Now it's the standard!
Both vehicles are excellent in looks, design and Features. Both are ultra modern large SUV and performance to cherish. Some times it is difficult to pick one, so we humbly submit the score as draw.
I'm on my 4th Denali "05" "07" "11" "16" . Why pay extra for the Escalade when the Denali is basically the same truck on the exact same platform. But you can't go wrong with either choice
@@ARU-vidChannelwithNoName Like I said I've owned 4 different Yukon Denali over the past 15 years and whenever I took it in the dealership for service they always referred to it as my truck . Truck, SUV , whatever, I still love my Denali
Bought a new denali in 17. It currently has 44k miles. I'll stay this, nomatter what either is, its more bs to tear up. Other than the 6.2 motor, the rest, no matter how nice they are, is junk. Either will be in the shop multiple times for dumb issues.
The GMC has always been the best looking of the GM full sized SUVs. I would only buy a CPO, I can't imagine spending close to $90,000 for a vehicle only to have it be worth $60,000 the next year......
They are both nice vehicles. But the Yukon is my choice. It's just so much more appealing. The Cadillacs dash is simply amazing. If they could switch interiors...smh
I priced out the new Escalade and the Sport model was $105K. So about I think the price difference is more like $20K - $25K difference. Both look like great SUVs.
