A cover band means completely different members. If you're going by that logic, then angels and airwaves is now just a cover band since it's not all original members

You guys complain about skiba, but at least he keep the band existing and he actually enjoy to play, we love Tom but he is the one who left blink... Twice.

Not many people can do the fast palm muted chugging like Tom could. None of the new Angels music has that fast palm muting, but I do wonder if Tom could even do it these days?
People say they wanted Tom back, but Tom didn’t care about Blink. He said in an interview that he was too busy with the government work and that’s why he quit. He just wanted to pursue something else. Blink did it’s part and it was his time to go.
Well said bro. When Tom created boxcar racer he was already feeling tired/bored of the "blink182 world"... he conquered the world with blink182, played several times on the biggest and most 'important' venues, became a milionaire, and enjoyed the pleasure of being treated like a GOD/GENIUS/etc by people all around the globe (mostly teenagers) to exhaustion, to the point of not even caring about this sort of thing anymore. He lived this life for a long time and he started to feel the need of living a different life, with different routines, the need of spending time with other people since he spent so many years being around the same guys (Travis, Mark and the crew that have their jobs strictly linked to blink182. It's difficult to us fans, and i'm very sure that it was difficult to Tom realize that he couldnt stand the "blink182 world" anymore and face the rollercoaster of emotions of going tru the breakup... but, considering everything i wrote, it's normal.
Still blink without tom. Just not the blink you want. Saying that is disrespectful towards mark and travis. If tom came back, and mark and travis left, it wouldn't be blink either. Mark and Travis are also blink y'know, tom isn't the embodiment of blink. Just because tom's gone doesn't mean it isn't blink anymore.

I love Blink, and i know growing up is about changes. Thats why now i dont feel blink182 it is blink182.. Feels so diferent than the golden days with enema, toypaj.. Anyway i was seeing the beginning of the change with self title coming out.
Tom sounded rough at the end of his run in Blink, like the guy really didn't give a shit at all about Blink. He would miss lyrics and all that too, so don't give Skiba so much hell

You don't keep Blink going. That's the issue. At this point, though I LOVE Travis Barker, there is only one original member of blink in the band. Go create another band but now it's like they're ripping off blink just to cash in.

He's also 10 times more famous than scott. You say the name Scott Raynor in a crowded room, and barely anyone will know who you're talking about. You say Travis Barker however, a ton of people will know exactly who you're talking about. Blink was good with scott, but travis has earned his place as THE Blink drummer. Nobody ever complained about travis when tom was in the band, and now that tom's gone everyone wants to say "now there's only one original member of blink, it's just a cover band now". which isn't true, because more than half of the songs they play are songs that travis played on. There isn't too much scott material played live. Blink is still blink without tom. saying it isn't blink anymore is disrespectful towards mark and travis. Who are very much a part of what makes blink. That's just like saying the beatles aren't the beatles because they replaced their original drummer with ringo. By that logic, that means angels and airwaves are just a cover band now because it isn't all original members.
