Zane Lowe interviews Blink-182 for the MTV UK show brand:new. This was recorded from MTV UK sometime early-2000, although the interview itself took place 17th September 1999. No copyright infringement intended.
Blink 182 is awesome because if you’re just discovering them you get to go back and search a whole catalogue of songs and a journey within the band. Or, like I am, you can look back and remember where you were at this time of your life and be blown away that’s it’s been 23 years. We are still here and so is Blink! The night will go on..
This was the best time to be into this band. It was so fresh coming off the dude ranch album and into the enema album 97-2001 was blinks best years. I remember seeing them during the self titled album and they hardly cracked a joke.
Watching this and the new interview, it's like a totally different band Mark back then was so fun and childish, now he's a lot more mature and grateful With all that they've been through it seems like so much mental trouble
Yeah thats the same restrauaunt. They grew up in poway california and they ate there all the time, so they put it in their song. I watched a documetry about them. 😂lol

they are still EXACTLY the same from the 2k23 interview, mind is blown to smithereens. but I do feel the disconnect and also the growth that they continue to learn from each other.
I wouldn't say never. The recent Tom and Mark conversation on Marks podcast had great chemistry. I can see them making music and joking around together again in the future.
they’re still best friends, they just decided that being in the band together wouldn’t be the best for either of them. they’re still like this just in private
John Joe Fitzpatrick No! You are wrong! It is “Blink One EightY Two” wherever you go! I live in the UK and a lot of people here say “Blink One Eighty Two” over “Blink One Eight Two”, including the radio stations such as BBC Radio 1, Kerrang, Absolute and Radio X which are the stations that play their music most! My OCD kicks in whenever I hear somebody say “Blink One Eight Two”! I mean people like you need to get with the programme because the band Blink-182 calls themselves “Blink One Eighty Two”!

Vincent Novick You’re not special for listening to old music and it’s really cringe to say that you where “born to late” unironically. Also Buddha is blinks worst album and NINE and California are pretty good. I agree that the self titled one is overrated tho
@@treefiddytwoo totally. I've never seen him interview ppl and actually get their jokes. The worst was Marilyn manson omg. The awkwardness was so THICK, all though the interview. I don't understand how he can so consistently not get humor... :')
