Yes, this is seriously a podcast with an episode where two adult men sit down to have a discussion about the band Blink 182. If that comes as a surprise to you, it's quite possible you don't even really understand what this show is about.

Blink 182 was the first band I was into as a kid, my dad gave me his IPod and it was 90% Blink 182. I think listening to them constantly at 8 years old actually made me more mature because I got it out of the way real young

I think a lot of people loved Iron Maiden when they played half of the Book Of Souls album cuz they still played some of their hits. I fucking hate it when bands play all their "hits" or songs that have been on setlists for a long time. To me i think it makes more sense that real fans should be paying to see these bands and it cringes me out when im at an expensive show and there are a bunch of people that just like the band for some songs and have lots of money to spend.

I never really cared for Blink-182 because I always thought of them as cringe. 😂 But they do have some catchy songs under their belt, and I appreciate the fact that they never took themselves seriously. Also, I think pop punk is a legit genre. I think of it as punk or rock music that’s more palatable or has more potential to go mainstream. Also, what’s definitely pop music but with electric guitars is someone like Ashlee Simpson, not these guys.

I love Blink 182, and I love these videos. I'm glad I found this channel, keep em coming! Edit: saw them live in 2016 (I was 16) and around the 40 min mark I got bored. The show felt forced and there were little to no jokes on stage.

It’s a guilty pleasure of mine. I listen to a lot of real punk but still indulge in this. This is the only episode where I like the band featured very much. I agree with it being immature music and wouldn’t go to a show alone I saw sum 41 and they killed it, very similar formula. Maybe sometimes we just gotta cop to liking some bad music and not swear everything we like is great

the drummer is a spectical to look at when they perform, tom was bad at live guitar that's about it. Travis's drumming makes up for all the garbage. I have to say though I liked tom better than the new guy even though he was sloppy.

God, I hated this band so fucking much growing up. Blink 182, Fallout Boy, Bowling for Soup, Green Day...all these terrible bands were all my friends in high school listened to. I was lucky if they ever put on Nirvana or The Cure! Jesus Christ. These same people actually rejected Joy Division, can you believe that? I'm embarrassed I ever knew them.

Any dude I’ve met that has tiny minds like this almost always are a metal head that tells you how great Pantera and slayer are wearing a chain wallet with a eye piercing, tribal tattoos and wearing a band shirt of some 80’s hair metal band with long messy hair and a big ass beard I call this the man condom look because nobody like that is getting laid. Many of these dudes are door guys at venues. Also hasn’t listened to any music made past 1989 because everyone is a sell out after that and don’t realize that the 80’s had the most amount of sellouts then anytime in history. Your post has statements that can be argued against. You indirectly assume that generally women don’t like metal music, when they’re a lot of female fans and musicians in the scene. All Pop punks are influenced by Green Day not Blink-182, do your homework properly. 5SOS openly said that they are all influenced by Green Day. Green Day unintentionally introduced Pop-Punk. Blink just made an attemt to it making Blink more Popy than Green Day that's it.

@@182Stanny yes that's because green day was never a pop punk band they just had some music of theirs which made them somehow pop punk but actually they are punk rock and When you talk about influence, Green Day is the band who influenced and introduced pop punk into large mass of people. Take any pop punk band and check on net asking who were the most influential band of theirs even some other genre bands will tell you the same too. And also enema of state is also influenced itself allot by Dookie and even tried to reach at that level.
