Just thought I’d put this out there.. if you can’t get this right now do not get discouraged, I’ve been playing for 7 months and I just played these chords right for the first time. Keep working and coming back to this vid and try again and again and you’ll eventually get it and it’ll be one of the best feelings.

@@khakishark My tip is this: ENJOY IT. Dont learn a song because its what someone says is eays for a beginner, learn a song you want to play and get satisfaction from. Hotel california by the Eagles was a good one for me and developed my guirtar, becuase rather than be a chore to practice it was acutally fun

My hands are too small. Fingers too short. It hurts as hell I can't put them that far apart it's so frustrating 😑 But I'm really happy to have found a channel with so many Blink 182 tutorials on it I will keep practicing :)

I have quite small hands, but after getting a ton of practice using the painful positions, they begin to get easier. Chords that were initially totally impossible are now as easy as any. Try various finger exercises and don’t expect to see any difference for a few months minimum

It has a higher pitch sound but my sister got a Parlor Guitar. The guitar is smaller so the frets and strings are smaller and closer together. It's not super noticeably small, my other sister has a regular concert acoustic and the spacing on her strings and frets are smaller than on mine.

Trust me it gets easier with time. For me I have low center vision so I have fret markers (dot stickers) on the back of my neck so I use my thumb to navigate. If I can then so can you given you too are passionate and to learn. I have now been playing for ten months and just now able to play this song! Playing guitar is like a roller coaster! Stick it out and you’ll be enjoying the thrills!

Finally! I got it, thanx to you and your very easily understandable instruction. 💪🏻✊🏻 I have low center vision and before this video I could only play the intro. Strangely the rythm part was my past hang ups not knowing where to play the power cords. I am happily playing it to the song! Thanx, you really helped a beginner like me out! 🤘🏻☯️

The intro was easy and I am just learning. Sounds so sweet and makes me want to keep playing. However, power chords on my prehistoric acoustic guitar is wrecking my fingers as I feel the fretboard is too far from the strings. Already have an electric on the way and I hope to get a better acoustic or an electric acoustic.

I love this lesson I am a beginner and for those who are learning this as well I found it easier to do the beginning part finger style then with a pick but that might be just me and I do have a queen for the parts I learned I can’t slide fast enough and get my finger placement right quick enough to play the whole thing together can I do anything to help this?

When I try to play the intro my 4th finger keeps sliding towards the 10th fret every time I come back down to the D string on the 9th fret so it starts to sound weird the longer I play it for. Do you know how I can stop this? Thanks

Al En In my experience, playing about an hour a day 5 days a week, it took me about 4 months to even be able to start learning any songs at all, but I think I grasped it a little slower than most people. This is a pretty beginner level song, though.

Rest middle finger on power chords but some don't hit b and e

David Groves, the way you rest your index. Notice in the video it looks like his index is curved. Think of it like this: pick any power chord, the top most string in the chord is held down by your index finger (the tip or 1st segment), the middle segment should be raised off the strings, and if held right the bottom segment of your finger should rest right on the bottom 2 or 3 strings. Hope this helps.

+EckeRechts I'd definitely say All the small things is number one just like Ronny said. Stay together I think is a bit more comlpicated but not too bad either. I'll do a lesson on stay together soon. I also really like Anthem. Carusel is fun but you need two guitars. Man I love blink ;)
