I understand that the cameras have different features as far as quality of picture. That said without looking at the phone app it hard to pick one camera over the other. Do a video on how each cameras software works. It important that we see the whole system.
Can i put a arlo camera on my house wifi from my router and a camera in my storage building 60 foot away with a ubiquiti access point runnung wifi from my house router?
@@mikekelly6282 Debating on the Arlo Pro 4. Any issues with camera/video delays from it having to wake up from standby mode etc? Like someone walking by or car driving by and by the time the camera recurds/recognizes movement its to late or just catching the rear of the car or back of someone walking?
Blink was garbage. Couldn’t get one connected on my garage approximately 40 ft from the router. I’ve been very happy with my Arlo Pro 2s. Looking to upgrade to their newer ones soon.
Well, as a long time Blink customer, I realized that the Blink cameras don't connect to your wifi. They connect to the Blink base station, and the base station connects to the wifi. You have to place the Blink cameras less than about 30 ft from the base station. That stinks. So yeah, in a big house, Blink cameras outside are somewhat useless.
An ideal security would allow local recording without the need for subscription for day to day needs, long battery life with option to charge while mounted, and not owned by a Chinese company...does it exist ?
Neither, I luv my Battery/Built-in Solar panel Eufy S40 Solo spotlight cams 2k resolution an made by Anker' No Subscription an never need to charge battery if it has at least 2hours of sunlight. 👍👍
I have 6 blink cameras. They are pure trash. " invest your money on other brands. They suck big time. When I wanna check something in my front door .the system is always busy or it won't work.
Arlo just spanks the ass of the Blink camera. Also, the Arlo Essential camera can be connected to a solar panel or connected continuously to AC power. Arlo security cameras are just hard to beat overall.
A friend of mine have the Arlo. Its very expensive in Canada he paid 90 something dollars. Question is it wired free the Arlo. I want a camera with great pictures, clear and long battery life without plug in. Which would you remecommend
I need a wireless camera with a fast response time. I have Arlo pro and Ultra, the pro response is faster, but both takes about 9 to 12 sec just to answer on a motion from a car or person.
That's a very valid point, someone or something can walk or drive by and by the time the camera comes on you missed what you need to see etc. Did you find a wireless camera that fulfills those needs?
Not a equal comparison..... Arlo you have to purchase a base station for storage or sign up for a subscription. Arlo costs much more than Blink as of today 7/1/2022
Arlo is garbage Battery life is brutally bad If plan on mounting these anything above 6 feet might as keep a ladder handy all the time Blink hands down ftw
I've been using Blink for a couple of years. Pros: Love the Blink battery life and the low cost and widely available replacement batteries. Reliably connects after power outage. Cons: Blink cameras have to be less than 30 ft from the base station (huge problem). Several seconds delay to notification on super fast wifi. Considering upgrading to Arlo Pro 4.
@@DaveM-FFB Any false video motions, lag between when it recognizes the object to actually capturing the video, how easily is it to charge the batteries?
@@shanew7361 On rare occasion a moth or spider will trigger a recording. I experience about a 2-3 second lag to initiate recording. Batteries are super easy to charge.
NOW u know me - best, NO subscription, 4K camera that i can see live on my phone and doesn't require much PHYSICAL installation (i hate installing). Thank u so much, brother
