Nice! Was this Cape lookout? I just started surf fly fishing a little over a year ago and my hope is to land some albies from shore. The biggest issue is finding tie to get out there.The most promising beaches I've been to has to be the outer banks. Last time I was out there was over the summer. I tried and area about 2 miles south of Cape lookout and the beach features were perfect for fly fishing. Deep troughs and riffs no more than 40 to 50 feet out. Bait fish were all over but nothing was feeding on it. Of all the beaches I've been to, the outerbanks looks to be the most promising. I'll have to book a trip next fall. Thanks for sharing.

I tell you what though. Those guys in the boats would have caught a cussing. There’s no reason to be that close. You have a boat and an entire ocean. You have to come in and spook the few fish the land based guys can reach. Very disrespectful.
