No Offense, Bellular. But this et~eeernal sucking up to Blizzard no matter how much BS they pull every Expansion is SO. OLD. by now, Man. SO. OLD. ... ... ... ... i get some People are their absolute Slaves, but holy moley.
Friendly reminder as early as Legion we were brought to the attention that the Candle thing isn’t just a gag. I think it was in High Mountain you would infiltrate a Kobold den and pretend to be their leader and the Candles like legitimately staved off the void in the cave.
@@brandoncomer6492 Typical WoW Sweaty response. The content is actively hurting the playerbase and community, and because people want the game to be fun again, you tell people to leave; which further hurts the playerbase and community. You people won't be happy until the game is just you, a target dummy and a parser.
@@frostmagemarii typical casual response. What are you comparing it to that's doing better? All those easy ass games are way below it on player count... what is your reference for pretending like your preferred content is actually going to make the game more popular? It's completely made up bs you've contrived in your head.
Most people aren't doing high keys anyway. Just like we shouldn't balance classes for the top 0.01%, dungeons should be designed for the 99.99%! This is GOOD design
The appearance of the payload is more like the ones in TF2 (besides that one map) because there it's literally a bomb in a cart. Here we're pushing a different kind of cart.
Its great to hear that the upcoming content seems fun and exciting. But can we also talk about how many bugs have been coming with the recent patches that feel Big? The LFG needing Language filters, the Guild listings, Legendaries unable to upgrade, There are so many recent Big bugs that have come from these updates.
@@needysleddog8724You do realize that we are right on the verge of a whole new side mode in WoW Remix launching? Even the filler content is cooking far harder than ever before!
at the end of the expac 99% of the time spent in those dungeons will have been spent by those keyheads. so yeah, maybe they should be designed around them?
I saw another comment about it so I was listening for it and it really didn't seem all that bad. It may have been a bigger problem in recent videos that I haven't watched, but I was listening for it and only heard it a couple times. Maybe I'm desensitized, who knows.
I'm keen to try these (wish I had alpha access lol), lately I have been thinking that they should have a separate version of dungeons for M+ where a lot of the mechanics and mob placement is changed for the competitive environment and the normal versions of them are a more narrative experience. Can't wait.
This dungeon design is FANTASTIC, oh my god I can't wait to play these. I feel like i've never been excited about dungeons because it was just "soulless boss rush", nothing felt like an adventure. This is STARKLY different, im excited
Here's a fun little thing: They don't have to build all dungeons for M+. They can easily build a few story dungeons as well that never enter the M+ rotation.
Don't forget to mention the "Light Undead" in the Priory of the Sacred Flame. Interesting to see them pop up unexpectedly. Of course, I've only seen videos of the dungeon, and don't know if there might be something prior to that that explains it more.
Is there any information about some stats squish in The War Within? Because numbers are starting to look ridiculous. The character in the vide has 7,7 mil HP at one point, and this is not even mythic+ gear lol
It will never fail to amaze me just how much alot of WoW players love to complain about everything; even the most insignificant things; if it doesn't min max "muh keystone". "Fuck the fun, if I can't do a billion damage with one skill then this xpac is dogshit REEEEEEEE"
@@Javier-il1xi i forgot who said it, but it was a developer of some famous game, and he said something like "You can't underestimate the ability the players have to optimize the fun out of the game" when speaking about designing stuff. And yeah, while alot of the fun comes from content being well made, we cant ignore how sometimes the playerbase are the ones actively draining the fun of the game because of the constant "meta" mentality on everything
@@brunohommerding3416 IKR? People need to drop the meta nonsense and just play the game and have fun. I mean mix max meta is for world firsts crap and most players don't care about that shit.
I hope that Blizzard actually starts making all the new dungeons & content with "FUN" in mind. Thank you for another cool video. Def enjoyed the look and sound of that Kobold dungeon.
Since i missed out on responding to your other paladin video, i just want to say its still ridiculous that Highmountain Tauren dont have Paladins, they have the same culture as Mulgore Tauren and believe in An'she.
@@JamailvanWestering and that mentality has really worked out until now. I understand avoiding it for the sake of "it doesnt mesh" i.e. Forsaken/Void Elves being something that literally core to their detriment, atleast without lore explanation. There is no reason Highmountain Tauren shouldnt be able to be Paladins, or Sunwalkers.
@@a1pha_star keep races still special ? I was against the Tauren gaining Paladins as well. From a lore perspective it makes 0 sense, especially now from a cosmology sense. The Sun isn’t based in the light. But in nature. Tauren never had any affinity with The Light, just with nature
The Dawnbreaker is god damn cool. Ive been spending all my time on alpha looking for bugs and focusing fire on combat testing and such. Definitely saving story and such for live release. Really excited for it all honestly.
I love the idea of interesting, new dungeon mechanics, butI feel like this is gonna be really rough in LFG when people don't know what they are doing... I hope they force everyone to learn the logic of candles with core quests or something.
To experience for the 1st time with a group of friends who want to also experience it , seems amazing ... For a pug group not so much , with followers it seems nigh impossible , and for people who want to crank out 8 heroics for the vault it's gonna be utter pain in the butt.
Hey back in Legion, anyone that paid attention in High Mountain KNEW the Kolbolds were holding it down for the world. Unthanked, unhonored. NO TAKE CANDAL DAMMIT!
To this day the reworked Deadmines (specifically Heroic) is one of my favorite Dungeons. I loved that it really felt like I was playing a game. A lot of the new Dungeons really seem to follow the same formula so I'm really excited for that :D
Ok, I now need the Kobolds to be playable, I noticed the Friendly one helping out in the dialogue implying they were basically were enslaved by the King and were free upon beating him.
The treadmill players will definitely whine for the uniqueness mechanics of these dungeons to be scaled back or removed. M+ either needs to go or the timer and key depletion need to go. Pick the poison so we can go back to fun things.
Yes exactly. The magic of vanilla, BC, and WOTLK. These pure cool ideas. Don't want the story going so crazy that it's hard to understand, like shadowlands.
Let's face it. Dungeon design, world design and all about that has been what Blizzard was known for since the inception of WoW. It's the GAMEPLAY LOOP that has been tragic. The gameplay loop is what just doesn't work for WoWs core gamers anymore. Blizzard missed the part where most of us WoW veterans turned adult beings. And they made it so that one has to basically be super reliant on ingame economics. Personally, without a full economy reset, WoW is dead to me.
have u see that all wow is bugged for alts now and some quest and portals cant be used and .... dragonflight icon is not on your map its shadowlands and blizzard still not fixed
I'd love to see some real challenge dungeons pop up now and then. The kind of dungeon that isn't required content. It's not "grindable." It's not on the LFG dungeon finder. It doesn't even have a 'Mythic' version because it's already at its max difficulty from the beginning. It's just a punishing puzzlebox of a dungeon that merely exists to taunt players into trying to defeat it. What do you get for beating it? Some raid-tier gear that everybody's going to be farming for weeks because they need the stats? That takes all the fun out of the challenge and turns it into a checkpoint bottleneck. Screw that, all you get for defeating this dungeon is bragging rights. I think it would be a great distraction and an obsession that would help shake people out of their endgame treadmill grinds. There's no need to defeat it. It's just for _fun._
After playing a lot of FF14 I really wish Blizzard would copy a lot of the Raid/Trial and Dungeon design. It's such so much more fun and easy to understand. No addons needed. And it seems they kinda get that now, love to see it.
Hey broski, you cut an important part at 13:05. "it seems like Blizzard has heard that because..." "... And honestly I'm glad to hear that" Sure it was a simple mistake but letting ya know
The candle dungeon seems really cool, but if you spam mythic + this is going to get old quickly especially if you are pushing trying to time higher keys
I don't know if this is just me but it sounds like there is way too much bass on the mic you're using in this video to the point it's a bit uncomfortable. The sponsor segment was fine but the rest of the video was not. Apart from this great video.
I'm kind of hyped for retail but the last patch broke half the menus in the game and some people are getting randomly booted out of dungeons or no loot drops at all etc I just want a higher level of functionality if they're adding all this new shit
both dungeons seem cool, but both dungeons seem incredibly unfun in M+. too many mechanics in packs, and finnicky mechanics for certain things (like the darkness boss) could completely ruin repetition for these dungeons when they're harder. I'm not even concerned from a super high key pusher standpoint... I'm just not looking forward to doing these AT ALL in M+ unless they tone them down. I think they just need fewer pack-to-pack mechanics in general with a lot of these encounters and I think the darkness boss fight seems shitty though maybe it'll just get figured out and end up being easy (but at a glance it seems very bad)
Exactly this. I saw the dungeons and it was enough for me to think I'll give TWW a miss. Bellular looks at the same content and gives out an excited: "SQUEEE!" From the perspective of you'll be doing this week in, week out, these look like ones to swerve hard. From the perspective of you do this dungeon once while levelling, they look great. Gimmicks belong in one-off content, not repeatable content.
Sad thing is, people are going to use addons despite Blizzard making the game read-able. I hope they keep this up and ban addons like DBM and any weakaura that has boss timers in it. Just don't need them and makes the devs have to make things harder to keep up the arms race.... Legon all over again
Makes me wonder how many dungeons will work with the follower system that they introduced in DF considering that some of the mechanics showcased in this video or if its only going to be certain ones.
I'm glad to see some cool dungeons, because most of WoW's dungeons have the problem where they don't actually feel like dungeons. Proper dungeons should feel maze-like, thematic, realistic and lived-in, with puzzles, traps, secrets, and they should be long enough to feel like a real adventure. Generally, the WoW dungeons that come the closest are WoW Classic ones, and that's because those weren't designed with the intention of being repeated. They were long and easy to get lost in. But they were still missing puzzles, riddles, traps, and secrets. Blizzard has made some cool dungeons since then, but since dungeons have been designed as repeatable content since TBC they haven't been willing to make them long and maze-like. I really wish they'd introduce a new dungeon mode that wasn't about speed or weekly repetitions. A mode about actual dungeon delving, closer to the D&D sense where you'd spend multiple sessions dungeon crawling a single dungeon. They could design dungeons just for this mode, and there could be one dungeon active a week on a rotation of like 8 dungeons (so you only repeat them once every two months). Or even one dungeon every two weeks. And these dungeons would be long, taking multiple hours, and have tons of bosses, and puzzles and riddles that are actually difficult. And the bosses get harder as you go down, so that your loot in the weekly vault is not about how many dungeons you've completed but how deep into the dungeon of the week you got. And you could spend 3-4 hours completing the dungeon in one go if you wanted, or you could go in in shorter intervals a few times to get further and further each time you go. And they should really make use of the island expedition AI and more realistic NPC behaviors they used in Boralus to make the inhabitants of these dungeons actually seem like they're doing something aside from just waiting for the players to show up.
@@DeadAugur megadungeons do come kind of close, but there's only one of them per expansion. And they're basically just the same WoW dungeon format but longer. They're still designed with repetition in mind (and I get why, I'm just saying it limits their design-space and makes dungeons kind of same-y). They definitely don't feel like realistic places where NPCs actually inhabit. They do have each have like one puzzle though, so that's something.
i would consider them going "harder" if they change the way we need to grind the same dungeons over and over again and with a changing dungeon content like different mobs or multiple paths inside the same dungeon on different difficulties. or the removal of the need for addons....
You fail no matter how good you are going about something, going harder isn't necessarily gonna be something good especially as long as the top % tuning exists for the entire game at max level in its current form and even more with how bad a lot of classes are even right now with basically pointless, "lifeless" talents.
Getting a group of 5+ to run with regularly is a surefire way, but solo you can really just start right into it. Get experience and rating and getting groups won't be an issue.
Sorry, but Blizzard had to keep dynamic flying useful in the game beyond just flying from A to B. After DF Raid it was a logical move with the airships in the new area.
To me, dynamic flying in raid was nth more than a built in mechanic to make use of a newly implemented method.. except the flying part of the fight with the raid boss everything is practically the same..it wasn’t hard..there’s no risk or reward to it..u fly around avoiding orbs for a few seconds and thats it..nothing game changing..i dont mind having it..i also wouldn’t be disappointed to see if the mechanic isn’t in a new raid.
Sure, but they messed up the class fantasy of my main with the new hero talent trees. Now I am just watching the news until they decide to fix it again so I can renew my sub.
@@sparta1821 My Dwarf MM Hunter whom I have been playing since Cata is ruined. The only hero talent that looks even a bit suitable is Sentinel and Sentinel is so rsce specific is not even funny. Especially the capstone ability, "Lunar Storm" is only for Night Elves. And yes, all non-night elf hunters who actually care about class fantasy more than anything else in the game share my opinion. But let's not kid ourselves. This is WoW. People like me are a minority, the majority cares about "viability" and "balance" more than the theme of their character. TL:DR Honestly can someone tell me which hero talent tree should I choose as a Dwarf MM hunter? Because both look elf specific to me.
You’re telling me that a paladin wearing the light bringer set which glows produces its own light wielding enchanted with the light of the earthwarder. Needs a candle? Blizzard really didn’t think this through.
dude to hell with all these spoilers im grinding work until the expansion comes out buying a hot fresh new potato quitting my job stocking up on hungry mans and putting on a onesie yo its gametime
OHGODNO not ANOTHER vault of the wardens It's fun when you have competent friends, but Jesus is it painful when you're playing with bots. ITS PROBABLY EASIER TO PLAY WITH ACTUAL BOTS -- shame follower dungeons can't be done at mythic level....
