Blizzard lied about WoW remix cloak 

Well said! People tend to be dramatic. It's awesome that they made WoW remix just a few things that hopefully they fix when they do it next time. The whole purpose of this mode I think is to make people feel good and the main thing that doesn't feel good about this is to choose to spend bronze either on your gear progression or the mounts and mogs... Oh well, at least they try

@NUTZJ98 I get that but for me. I wasn't concern with upgrading my gear because I play mop when it came out years ago and I just want to level alts up fast. That was my concern. There are video to help maximize level up many alts fast in remix too

I agree it would be totally nuts but I think that's what these type of game mods its all about. Its already broken now no matter what blizz does at this point... why not make it crazy all the way.. Before all of this started I thought its gonna be cool that all your characters work towards one powerful piece of gear, make you want more to play one your alts.

I don't think your average WoW player researches every single thing. If its a good game it shouldn't be necessary to research things at all. They should be more specific in their promotional materials if they don't want it leave to wrong interpretation. There are tons of people who thought the cloak would work differently.

True, you got to know all the tips and tricks. I don't think I have 550% on any of the characters. :D To bad when you hit level 70, that stat becomes useless.. Not like its a huge thing but just a feel bad mechanic in my opinion..

clearly you never watch anything blizzard puts out cause they did say the power from your main goes to the alts to lvl them up fast. so yes it was said you're just too stupid to understand basic English

3 hours with the bonus XP cheese strat to the mailbox which is not what was intended.

@@bevansmia You can do it in 2.5 hours using the XP/mailbox cheese. If you don't care about doing it in one sitting, I'm sure you could doing it under 3 hours of /played without the XP/Mailbox by doing just the one, 6 boss raid a day then logging out. Getting +72% to XP in 20 minutes is insane and is still way faster than rolling an Alt and leveling from 1-70 in Retail.

It would have been fine if the cape scaled gradually as you level up but my problem with it is that the capes are not connected at all. This whole cape thing would be much more enjoyable if all characters could have worked towards this one cape. Instead you get this base cape and level the cape again and again on each character. BTW that slight upgrade on cape was from looting stuff not scaling.. At this point I think Pandamonium is far too gone but hopefully they do better next time.

It worked as advertised on the PTR. They changed it on launch.

@@Kleowimany things change from PTR to launch. It's crazy that it takes under 3 hours to level an alt in Remix and players are unkillable death machines yet people complain they aren't powerful enough.

You still end up with a way weaker cloak... Almost feels pointless to level those alts, especially if you already have max characters in retail. I bet you probably don't want to do the same thing for each of your alts that you did with your main character..

@BaconBootsBronco of course I don't and I wouldn't even want to. I don't think anyone would. The cloak is not what gives you power, the gear is. The cloak for me is simply something that allows you to level up faster and that's it. I'm on my 6th alt right now with literally 0 effort. Everything is lightning fast, I have in every alt over 100k bronze by the time I'm 70 and it takes less than 5 hours on average (I do play healer/tanks for faster queues so a dps will prob take twice as long). Yall acting like this is going to be here forever. Use it for what it is: level up alts fast. Everything else is a bonus for me.

@@dosskyyy That's the thing though, it's not going to be here forever and it was most definitely sold to people as a fun stupidly OP temporary game mode. What you don't seem to grasp is that the basic premise of the cloak was such that it was to be account bound (more or less) with whatever you gain power wise on your main's cloak (Including XP gain which Blizzard themselves said) was to be then accessible on your alt.. this was indeed a lie lol. Also let's be clear here, you can currently level an alt in retail from 0-70 in around 1.5-2h with either the BH farm or the NH farm.. so the whole "Well it only takes 5 hours" is a non point. You can also speed level alts normally with dungeon/quest farming in retail in about the same 5 hours of time providing you have Heirlooms to kill things quick and complete Dungeons faster. On top of that, when you reach level 70 on remix you're STUPIDLY underpowered (excluding cheeses which Blizz keep fixing anyway) with very few quick options to gear that alt up fast. As you said yourself "I don't and I wouldn't even want to. I don't think anyone would." (referring to gearing your alts up). Compare that to retail with the MANY incredibly fast and easy catch up and gearing methods and there's no comparison. Now if they actually did remix like it was intended where everyone is supposed to be stupid OP (including your alts) then of course people would love to gear their alts and have those alts stupidly OP as-well lol, the fact people don't seem to want to do that right now isn't because they never intended to do that but because Blizzard made it beyond grindy to do so... The simple fact is, Blizzard lied and about more than the cloak too. When the frog farm was a thing (Something that has existed since the very beginning of MOP's release BTW which is around 12-13 years ago) people were actually having fun on their characters, sure it meant you had to do mindless grinding of frogs but how is that in any way different to what we have currently? Log on to your main, hit the raids and dailies, log onto the next character, repeat, it's mindless grinding expect nerfed into the ground. There was absolutely no reason to nerf the frogs, nerf cloaks, nerf raids, nerf other farm areas (including rep ones), they should have given us what they said it was going to be, stupidly OP temporary fun. All they had to do is make other areas of the game just as worth as frogs or goats and cap the cloak like they already have, sure you'd still have people mindlessly grinding frogs but who the fucks cares at that point? If they'd buffed raids & dungeons to be comparable then everyone would be in the same position. Instead what we ended up with is you have one main character and a bunch of alts that can't do shit, where is the fun exactly? xD Now don't get me wrong, I think the event as a whole is fucking amazing in principle! I genuinely liked MOP back in the day and this is like going back to those times. HOWEVER I'm not blind to the major issues it has and how Blizzard are doubling down on nerfing fun in an event that was supposed to be the exact opposite. Let's not forget that EVEYTHING that isn't the char itself or cosmetic is going away lol. Your cloak, your gear all go bye bye. It genuinely boggles the mind that people and Blizzard are so hell bent on making this event be as grindy and "balanced" as possible, talk about missing the whole point by a mile.

That doesn't change the fact that initially they said the cloak will be the same across all characters and they all will level the same cloak.

@@BaconBootsBronco I mean i remember them saying "stats will be shared" they did not say which stats or how many but i think its just the assumption it was all stats is what bothered people.

@@jasoncustoms5272 people who played in the PTR said it used to work the way they said and then they changed it when it went live. (I personally didn't play on PTR tho)

Well they could have been connected when you get the max level though... Or scale in to your main cloak as you level towards lvl 70
