i think honestly pro street might be the best nfs mainly bcuz of being a totally different game not riding on nostalgia of u1 u2 mw and carbon. they had balls to do this game.
Pro street is a game with an absolute unique vibe in my opinion. The entire set up is fascinating. It's not like shift and shift 2 where everything feels so unnecessarily in place and complicated, it's more like a legalized "go crazy". I've never learned to play this game properly and unfortunately never finished it, but I will undoubtedly define it one of the greatest nfs ever made
High as a kite playing this game with my best friend at the time. Driving that sprinttrack through the desert. It has a tall hill in it and it makes you fly if you drove fast enough. We flew alot that day and i still enjoy the music and memories we had with this game.
R35 has been going on now for 17 years now, I say Nissan made the right decision cuz if everyone liked the style why change it unlike most of car companies, feels like everytime they make new cars it just becomes more and more uglier and all looking the same
I say the game is Severely underrated. I will admit I never liked ProStreet much back then mostly because the transition from underground racing to officiated racing with no free roam was too much for little ol' me and I ended up not liking it. But looking back now and actually playing the game after EA's many failed attempts at making a good need for speed made me appreciate what a hidden gem this game was. It had many features from the bodykit performance to the Grip meter feature for drag.

Yea, I started playing Undercover couple days ago but this game is so boring... I was afraid to play Prostreet in childhood because it seemed for me so hard to handle this game, but now after ten freaking years I realized how awesome this game especially soundtrack!
even now, its still fun to go back for a drag or a high speed run through the desert. pity EA didnt encorporate this drag system into that new payback piece of shit game

People think of the m3 when they remember NFS. I played underground first, I experienced it first, I hardly remember that car. For me its the m3 grip king, the rx7 with one of the most arguably badass togue union decals ever. The gosh, dang, GTO. This game knew how to shove multiple countries cars in your face and make you fall in love
I remember playing this game when i back from to the college.My bad status academy, my bad relation with teammates from the school, my bad luck with girls, and all my problems disapear at least for 3 minute during a race on nfs pro street. Now, im so close for get the engineering mechanic title and the problems are only memories. Thank you to the developers from this game. Pd: Sorry for the basic english, its not my natal language

This game honestly made more of a mark on my childhood than underground or carbon. I loved everything about it and I appreciate it even more looking back. I’m glad it’s a game that’s starting to get more appreciation because I remember it being pretty heavily disliked back in the day
we will be here every year, we want the old need for speed back... imagine prostreet with optimized, having better graphics, and multiplayer support, and the good old soundtrack.... ahh memories
@@itachi1165 i mean it had online but optimization was not so great, actually the game itself was pretty missing and would be much better if they kept updating for a bit but unfortunately it end with v1.1. It definitely had a potential. I mean its year 2022 and i still play it again and again. The atmosphere this game has just unbelivable

This game stands out. I don’t care what anyone says, this game was slept on but the community that played it and exists is the chillest community i’ve ever met. They took away free roam from nfs, but it was to put in So, much effort into this game. Yet it was so simple, you didn’t have to fight the game to get what you want, you just had to play it, you just had to travel through the story, make your way to the end, and get dumpster stomped by ryo wantanabe, but it was amazing and you loved every adrenaline filled second of that last race, that you were almost guaranteed to total your car on. This game was different.

When I first played nfs pro street, I absolutely hated it. As someone who will always place Most Wanted 05 and Underground 2 on the highest of pedestals, I couldn’t get into it at the time. I hated the idea of a “street legal” nfs. No cops. No open world. All track based racing. (It’s the same reason why I’ve never been a fan of the Shift games.) As I’ve gotten older however, I’ve learned to appreciate it for what it accomplished. It’ll never be my favorite, but it definitely won me over after I went back and tried it again all these years later. It was an enjoyable experience, and one I would definitely recommend, and wish I could’ve properly enjoyed sooner. I guess the moral of the story is: don’t judge a book by the first 15 minutes of gameplay.

Everyone back then though this game was like copper, not so good and not so worthy. But today seeing all the things EA did to NFS I can say that this game actually was a gem all along.
Damn good ole memories comes back, first career I used R34 for my speed runs. Good times and must say after all these years this game was really something special, especially for being track only ( no open world), just the customization alone, could sit for hours tuning and changing stuff, and this was 2007!
Funny story, was listening to the Klaxons on Spotify (discovered them from NFS pro Street) then it shuffled into Bloc Party and the regular version of this song came on. The lyrics sounded really familiar but I couldn't place it, then I got thinking and stumbled across this... Crazy how everything always loops back to NFS. Same thing happened with the band Clutch for me 😅

Unfortunately the car scene is dying, remember back then when the 'new' Nissan GTR was getting launched/developed? Those times were still cool. Nowadays, 0 innovation, new cars which all look the same and no personality
@@ZadakLeader you're right but wouldn't it be kind of awesome if a current m3 ray krieger drove you just had to love the games like they used to do what do you think why prostreet is so popular with us because it was tricky and the story line was just good because heads were still sitting there "how do we make a banger game" i still play it with mods today because there was simply nothing comparable back then and today Pro Street would pack an identical story line right up to the top because the music fits the game very well was and not so hipster scrap
It would be nice to get those kind of games with a focus on recapturing the culture then, it will happen eventually (maybe?) It would be cool to have games with like... how the initial races were like and the atmosphere then etc. Like a historic time capsule. It's strange because we have war games for pretty much all areas in time but not for all areas in racing, for example...
Speed races in Nevada were just unbeatable. You just don’t get as much anxiety in a race than you did in the speed races. Sometimes it was worth it just for the animation of the crash. Lol I used to see if I could crash my car in the most craziest ways possible
Pro Street would've been much better if it was like forza horizon. Where you would drive around lets say america, or there would be more places, Japan etc... To various events. Many people don't know this, but this game had like 1 year of development and the studio was cut in half, because they were making undercover at the same time. EA was shitty just as now back then, somehow these devs managed to keep afloat, but imagine, if the good old studio had like idk.... 3 years to make a NFS game, or even 2? How good would it be.
The only problems that prevent this game from being a masterpiece is that the handling can feel pretty floaty sometimes Some of the drag races are bullshit(especially those fucking wheelie competitions) And on the Wii version, the motion for shifting on Drag races can be hella unresponsive unless you swing the controller like a madman Oh, and those Nevada speed challenges are bullshit as well Other than that, this game is criminally underrated
@@badonkadonker3710 I agree. Wanna know why? Drifting was scripted in this game. They took Carbon assisted drift physics and basically screwed them up by making car oversteer and understeer at the same time

When I end prostreet I feel happy,but after credits I heard this song, I cry because this game is end, no new races, no new kings, nothing after credits, only me and feels with memories(sorry for english this is not my language, I can speak on Russian and Ukrainian if you know this language write on this language)
