Cheers, don't get a lot of roughcasting these days mostly plastering, but good to get a change of trades

yere i do a few different stuff to stop me getting board lol i have some rendering coming up soon on blockwork been a few year since i done it what mix would you recommend

@@markhep if I'm rendering now its k-rend I would use once u know how to do it it's great ,but sand cement ratio for rendering that I use is 4:1 hope it's not breeze block your going over ?

Yes put an 8 inch or so strip of lath over anywhere that could have been prone to cracking

I normally used SBR stronger job but just used a strong pva mix added a good amount of Pva through the mortar aswell waterproof pva is recommended for external work but had to use what got delivered

I'm sure we PVA'D it with sand/cement through the pva then bedded in the fiberglass mesh👍
