This looks more like the intro of an old 90s show than a commercial. I remember going to Blockbuster a long time ago, but I remember very little about it. I think it would be great if this were an actual TV series. A group of kids who go to a Blockbuster Video store every day, where video tapes are sometimes anthropomorphic. The kids go on adventures inside the movies they rent or open up. And sometimes, they try to put the characters and creatures back in the movies where they belong.
This really feels like a Blockbuster Video's answer to Burger King Kids Club mascots, although i've heard that these Blockbuster Kids mascots actually came first before them, pretty sure they also came out as a walkaround costume characters during special events and selling some merchandise with these kids on it.
How many people noticed the pun which involves the dog’s name? For those who don’t understand what I’m referencing, the dog is named Pause which is a reference to a dog’s paws. Guessing that whoever made this ad decided it would be cool because both words are pronounced the same way.
