This was a great show! Enjoyed it every day. But hands up who LOLed at the computer prize?! 40MB hard drive, 2MB of RAM and a colour monitor! Wowzers. Hey it was pretty good in 1992. 🤣
Great Gameshow and a Bob Holness a Gameshow Legend has gone. I have memories of watching Bob on blockbusters and I watched Raise the Roof which he did 1995-1996 before Call my Bluff. He once had a Gotcha on Noel's House Party in 1994. That was great even with his reaction on the reveal. RIP Bob Holness.
I find the old feelings of frustration coming to the surface again, after all these years... Choose the right letters, everyone! The ones that will benefit you the most of you get it right, and help your opponent the least. But no.. no, they dont' know how. Grrr.... Absolutely fantastic gameshow,, and a most welcome blast from the past.
I seem to be addicted to UK Blockbusters. I seem to find it better than either American run in the 80s. When it comes to game shows, I have to watch American ones since I live in Canada. By the way, a little fun fact about that missed gold run question near the end. Nova Scotia is actually Latin for "New Scotland". Anyway, I hope the new show with Simon Mayo does well.
gorden bennet, takes me back lol. I wish the days today were like back then, tv was a family thing and it was just better back then. Who remembers knightmare (take one step to the left etc) kids show, god this has started me on a memory journey lol I mean I loved life back then but tv was just the best, Pob was one of my all time favourite kids shows from back then, hence my avatar lol
I remember when Dom Joly pranked Bob - He was interviewing him on the street and in the background these guys rolled out a huge banner that said " OH MY GOD ! I'M TALKING TO BOB HOLNESS !" :D
@MrTypofoto Technology really develops and changes. Computers are totally different now. Which Video Recorder did you use to record Blockbusters it is good quality.
That prize for the third Gold Run sounds like it was an interesting one. What state was that in? Looks like Texas to me. Either way, it sounds like an interesting little holiday.
I remember thinking they all looked really old for 6th formers when I was about 15. Still think the same! They look like Beverly Hills 90210 students who were played by actors in their mid to late 20s lol
