Thank you! My friend was trying to restore an old trumpet i have and it is VERY special to me. We where stumped and could not figure this out. This is so helpful thank you very much. I appreciate you!
Oh my goodness thx so so much for this. I just cleaned my trumpet and my parents said I will mess it up and it stopped working so I got so scared but thx to this video everything still works ❤❤
Thank you! I am an amateur and fully disassembled a used (new to us) trumpet for cleaning, but it turns out that I replaced two valve guides 180 degrees off when re-assembling - I wouldn't have thought to look for that issue until seeing your video.
Hey, thanks for your help mate. Son confidently oiled his trumpet to show his mates then wasn't working. Your vid helped me figure it out and look like the best dad hahahahahahah Cheers
Hahaha... when I got first trumpet, a mini trumpet, a few months ago, the pistons were actually turned round... no air passing when nothing was pressed... instrument and bag were in mint condition but someone had played around with pistons... I pulled them all out, saw the numbers and larger guides on one side and everything was clear...
Here's a head-scratcher. Yamaha Bb Marching French horn, valves in correct position inside corresponding casing. Trying to play open notes (no input on valves) OR 2nd valve only notes but presents as air blockage. Checked slides, no physical blockage. Any suggestions?
Can anyone answer this (pretty basic, I admit) couple of questions?: Let's say the valves weren't numbered and you put all three side-by-side -- would they all look the same insofar as where the holes were situated? If the answer is yes then why does it make a difference which valve goes into which valve casing?
Y'all r awesome thank you I have a MIndini pocket trumpet and I thought that it might have to go to the shop y'all saved a bunch of money thank you so my
The trumpet should have the valve number stamped on the valve, ie 1,2 or 3, and most of the major trumpet manufacturers have this number facing toward the mouthpiece.
Thank you you helped me so much because I took them all out to oil them and I had no idea what to do and mine is rented so if there was a problem with that my mom and dad had to pay it
