I think it’s not a surprise at this point that you have five stars on every plumbing website Australia has to offer, I hope your parents are very proud of you
Good Lord!! Ollie, you are a dedicated individual. Here in the states, I've seen guys walk away from a job because it was raining. You deserve every penny you charge.
I’m starting to think Ollie is editing the videos to make us think he does all the work. The cut scenes are probably of Croc doing the real back breaking work. Thumbs up Croc!
Ollie you went above and BEYOND!! This homeowner has major problems, plumbing being one of them. He needs a civil engineer. I was afraid the house was going to crumble down around you and you would be trapped. I hope you got paid well for this one.
I cannot fault your work commitment. Just phenomenal effort. Even if some how it was easy you were still dragging yourself through dark nasty areas where spiders and snakes generally live, in a country where spiders and snakes can kill you! Thank the lord for Mr Croc, Ratty and Magpie are were there on this one!
that little honda probably has more hours then any small engine i have worked on (even 30 year old ones). in one video he mentioned its getting old which is probably 5+years old easy and calculate how much that runs a day how many times a week and how many days a year... that small engine is VERY well maintained Ollie knows his gear and knows if it goes down its not good as he i also out of work till its fixed i wouldnt be surprised if that honda got an oilchange at least once a month and because its run so much it keeps itself clean so an easy general tuneup (new plug and both filters) and its good to go again. its also more of its being flooded why its not starting.. (wouldnt be surprised if that engine was pushing 5000-10000 hours)
@@SnowleopardPearl can't kill a Honda.......unless you starve it of oil ,they are one of the best little engines around, seen Honda engines run indefinitely with just basic maintenance & simple rebuilds, seen rebuilt Honda engines sound & work better than most of the newer knockoff junk from China or new US built Briggs &Stratton/ Tecumseh engines
Ollie better watch out… swing that hammer too much and he will wake up with Thor muscles… it won’t be too surprising; since he handles the sewage pipes he is technically an Assgardian
I absolutely love your work ethic. It's a difficult job and with the help of your friends Ratty, Croc, baby rat, and magpie you get it done. Thank you for the laughs....❤
@@DrainAddict man, it just went from bad to worse with this one, didn't it? Blair Witch vibes under the house, and THEN a sinkhole? Get very far away from there, sir.
It's one of those days...generator hard to start.. ratty amd magpie skiving off on the first part and complete mess of drains. Not had a all bad for a long time. Brilliant video though. Cheers Ollie. All good 👍🏻
I sit back and remember the time rattie fell into that one drain years ago and the effort Ollie made to save his boy, hard to imagine the channel without the lord of the rats!!
@@ithinkdoyou I have seen better grounding jobs in my life but concrete still requires some force to break so never the less ollie definitely put alot of work in on this one
That had to be the first one ive ever seen where it couldn’t be cleared within the filming. What a bloody hard one that was. Good moral support from Croc. Magpie and Ratty could learn from croc 😂👍
Hey Ollie. I've seen you do some very hard work through most of the water system. But this.....was so much along with whatever that was within the water pipes or sewage. I hope there is a part 2 of this video. Take care and be safe.
WOW Ollie that’s one of the most intense ones you’ve done in awhile! That poor homeowner has some major pipe issues and not to mention the sinkhole under the house!! Will there be a part 2 to this home when they do the pipe work??
"pipe issues"??? The entire building infrastructure, as in, the mortar holding the bricks and block work together has failed, add that to the foundation falling away [sink hole]... notice the huge cracks in the walls of the exterior of the home, that follow the failing blockwork. If this was in the US, it would be considered too hazardous to occupy and would be condemned. Man... I really feel for the owners, this is going to keep them up at night for the foreseeable future.
Those times when the home owner doesn't tell you all the info that could have helped. Clearly that had been dug up before in the walk way, you could tell by the concrete patch. And the didnt take the "eel" out since it went under the home. Thats why they gave up. You shouldnt have had to uncover all this information. Unless, the customer had only been lied to, but that extent of work would have taken a while and im would think they would be aware of some level of complexity from the last time a plumber came out, and lost their "cable".
Under that house was something else ! Like something out of a Call of Duty map ! I mean, come on ! Who the hell builds like that ! All looked about as stable as a house of cards.
Knowing how strong Ollie’s arms are from all the jetting, that eel must be good and stuck! I hope you’re having a lovely Labour day long weekend Ollie!
Well Ollie I think the plumber who got that eel stuck should pay for all the repairs good video again see you next week have a good week all the best from the uk
This is the most difficult job than among others jobs you been through. I am admiring you for such extreme conditions without hesitation when crawling under hallows space.
Ohhh man, I really do hope that Honda would watch the videos and give you a good offer on some kit, when the time for some new gear comes up. Starting nearly every video off with the quality sound of that banger. But nothing lasts forever.
Hi I’m Mike from Macclesfield in the UK. I love watching your videos! That job must have been very annoying. All the work you did to resolve the problem just gave you more determination/disappointment to resolve the issues. It’s great that you diagnosed it! All good!! A lot of work needs to be carried out to repair it. Keep up the great work!!👍👍👍👍
Is there going to be a (to be continued)? Would love to see what it's actually going to take to finally get that eel out of the drain! What an absolute bugger of a job 🥴
He says at the end what needs to happen. Its not just the eel, theres a sinkhole under the house and the plumbing is messed up. He said the best thing to do, is lay another pipe under the walkway outside and join up with the boundary trap. Put the old pipe out of commission.
@@tubester4567 yeah but there was another pipe coming into that pipe that would need to be brought around the house if possible. Being on the side of a hill like that and a pool in the back it would be a nightmare. That other pipe coming into that Tee? is probably what let the cable loop around itself like that. You could probably put on another addition with what it will cost to fix it right. I'm betting they fill in the hole and just let it be.
Great job! I really appreciate your explaining what you see…sometimes I see it later but your explaining makes it understandable and enriches the adventure! Thanks..from the Oregon Coast!
Man, this is the rare occasion where you meet a boss drain, Ollie. A lost eel, some manual demolition work, crawling into confined spaces, discovering a sink hole, and having your jetter stuck. What a mess of a site. Can't win them all, I guess. :( I seriously hope there's a sequel to this, like "Rattie's Revenge" or "The Croc Strikes Back" or "The Wrath of Maggie" with the latter referring to Magpie (which I'm surprised you haven't called Magpie Maggie). Seriously, I feel we have been left hanging here.
It's cool that there's all these old relics from decades ago down there, but not cool about a sinkhole, an eel, and a painful task ahead to plumb it all.
When i started watching these, i didn't see ratty or any other animal helpers. When ratty showed up just randomly in one video i was like "haha nice." Such a random quirky thing that I love about these videos.
Ollie; use vice grips to clamp onto the snake and rotate it backwards to get that knot to uncoil; then use a come-a-long to pull it out; It may just slide out easy once that knot is gone. You really went the extra mile on this one!
gary ... so the knot is undone but the end of that snake is still cork-screwed into something, which is why the snake is stuck in the first place. Now that we see the problem the only fix is to replace the pipe.... because the stuck end is under the house where nobody can work.
this is the first of your video, and after that i was hooked to see ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS. I MEAN ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS INCLUDING THIS JANUARY 2022 VIDEOS !!!!!!! SEEN ALL VIDEOS FROM YOUR ''MIX-DRAIN ADDICT''. Thanks Ollie, i enjoyed all the videos and actually i became an addict to it !!!!
@@DrainAddict:- thank you, i enjoy your videos whole day and half way through the night as well !!! i honestly think that God has chosen you to clean up the World!! and no one can replace you oliie.
Wow Ollie, that was intense! You always stick to it, and even after going through everything trying to get the eel, you still worked on the boundary shaft - amazing work!
You hear the kookaburra laughing when there’s a humorous or ridiculous situation, the magpie song is the tune of Ollie walking… usually accompanied by his famous arm swings!
Potential source of the eel: sabotage. Plumber got "hired" for a job, got stiffed, and returned the favor. It would also explain the fact that the IO at the head is completely concreted over. Reminds me of when I was trying to get internet installed at one of my old living places. Turns out a contractor had cut my stack of units' internet lines when the upstairs neighbor moved to cable internet. No one did a full diagnosis because the person we bought it from wasn't around enough to notice the loss of coverage.
I use to use old style car jack that had a post and travel mechanism to pull up old fence post that were not cemented in place. Worked like a charm. Since the car manufacturers moved to these new safer scissor or lever car jacks those never would do the same job.
Can’t win them all I guess. Was wondering if you could have used the motorized come along method? You worked with a guy that used it to pull a long root out.
If ollie uses that fucking thing, I can guarantee you that him, the entire house, the homeowners, and the eel are taking a tumble straight down into hell!!
Oliver, you really worry me at times, this was one that gave me a real panic attack. My young son is also a plumber here in Tennessee and I worry about him daily, but proud to say you both have the same work ethic, give it your all and always clean up lol.... you are in my daily prayers.
