I remember a few years ago considering one of those shoe boxes. The reason I considered it was because I couldn't find another place (rental crisis). The shoe box (actually more like 3/4 of a shoe box as the room was more a triangle *single bed in the corner , small tv and that's about it*). Of course it was well overpriced as well. I would have had to put everything in storage and downgraded my bed. Thankfully I didn't.

With the amount of acid he was dealing with, a box of bicarb would be needed. I would have dumped half a box of the stuff down the drain to save the pipes and the equipment. Running water isn't enough to get rid of all of that concentrated acid.
@Jcreek201

You'd end up with carpal tunnel pumping that spray bottle before dilute sodium bi-carb would neutralize concentrated sulfuric acid. You'd be better off just dumping a box on it.

Yeah I know the feeling, I work for cars in corrosion so I deal with muriatic acid all the time. That things a little. But you get used to it.. however I had a new experience about 2 months ago, I was redoing all of the sewer lines in the basement of a house and all the lines were above my head.. PVC cement and primer, mixed together, when I was pressing a 4 inch T-fitting together, a nice big blob of it drip into my eyeball. I just had to deal with it and hold the fitting together until it cured. So the fitting didn't push itself apart, and then I have to redo it all, over the years I've gotten a lot of things in my I probably the worst one was when I was welding hot BB fuzzed itself to my eyeball. That was an emergency room visit. Chunk of metal scraped off my cornea, fun stuff, but the PVC cement glue. I'm used to swimming in freshwater not saltwater, so if I had to compare what my eyeball was exposed to I would say salt water and pepper spray.

Hey look 150 ft tall rock wall with a building on top of it.. a place that you're in is huge.. I marked it on Google maps. And not too far from there right behind that building in off to the right I found a building that I thought was kind of cool it's the ADA of Sydney building.. that's a cool looking building too.. I like the wavy design of the building. I marked that one on Google maps too.. can I have it at doing that every time I look something up I got a mark it. I tried finding the one that you were in an orange jumpsuit on a contaminated, asbestos location with a crushed pipe that was like 20 m deep.. I had no luck so I couldn't Mark that one. There's about 70 locations in Sydney that are contaminated with asbestos sites in and around Sydney Australia as well as companies and corporations that deal with it. I found all of them but I couldn't figure out which one you were at..

Beautiful view of Sydney. Thank you for pointing out the land marks. Dreadful about the acid. You NEVER COMPLAIN about smells. The fumes had to be bad. I hope your lungs and face are all right. Watch the residue on ratty & your tools. Your pants! Oh my gosh, you were in those, you were wearing those. That was a dangerous assignment. I hope your invoice adds a hazardous chemical fee. Chunk of concrete, was that a brand new building, or did a tenant put up with the slow/spotty drain? Two sinks in the bathroom? Beautiful view. No smog. So many floors up. PHX AZ USA.

Makes you appreciate the many blessings of good health when you can walk away fairly unscathed from danger as we seen here. I bet looking out at that wonderful skyline after the near miss made it even more beautiful! We live and we learn in the crucible of this classroom we call life! Glad you are OK, Ollie! Ratty just needs some fresh oxygen outside to revive! ✝🐀

Perfect intro to do some Geoguessing: Br. St., the middle one of the three brick high risers I would say. Correct? What a breathtaking view! Beatiful! Again: Thanks for sharing and showing us around, to the good, the bad and the ugly corners of Sydney 😊

Amazing with these new builds the amount of snagging that has to be done

Ollie, You can replace pants, even heal skin. Please buy and use safety glasses, you only have two eyes. I sent you a tip for that. I have dealt with sulfuric acid spills as an EMT and HAZMAT technician. The burns can be horrible. Take care and God Bless.

The acid knocked Ratty out! Great job clearing this one, Ollie!

I thought Olli had changed careers and became a real estate agent 😃 The acid destroyed your pants and almost cost you your eyesight but the blockage didn't do it, that's why you need the best drain cleaner in Sydney 🤩
