Can't get over your backgrounds and interior design shots. 👍 Your home always looks stunning! Would love a video on that or the RU-vid lighting camera setup 😊 Really enjoyed you sharing your blogging process, keep it up!
This was SO HELPFUL Katelyn! I'm a Personal Branding Photographer & Web Designer & I'm hoping to adapt this to my business. :-) I am so grateful for you!
Stomping the images will go much faster if you arrange them in Lightroom first! You can easily create a collection of all the images that go into the blog post and inside the collection you can drag & drop each image in Lightroom itself (another bonus: You get a much better overlook of all the images and how to arrange them)! If you then export them and import them into Blogstomp it's just a matter of minutes ;)
Thanks Katelyn, lots of very useful information! I would love to have more insight on the blog stomp workflow and how you make your choices. I think that might teach me a lot!
This is what I have been doing. I am a bad blogger - so what I have been trying to do, is put together images from the past, date them correctly, and then post that. I don't put words to it, as that is why I let it get so far behind to begin with.... the words will come later for future posts. But this way, people can see more of what I offer in one setting. I am also a horizontal shooter. I have been trying to remember to shoot more verticals. It will come in time... slow process - but I am so anxious to get it done! LOL
Hey there! I love this system and I really want to implement it. Do you also do this for engagement sessions and other lifestyle sessions or just weddings?
Quick question - can you tell us which plugin it is that you're using that allows you to decide which post preview layout you get? I've been looking for something like that!!!
Do you have any tips on how to get clients? It used to come easy to me and now it is very hard even in the busy season. It is discouraging me and wonder if it is my work.
Hi! I'm wondering how you market this to your couples? I provide a sneak peak within 48 hours after their wedding day, but I think my couples see that as Monday because that's 48 hours from the actual day of their wedding, rather than 48 hours AFTER the day of their wedding. Tuesday would definitely work better for my workflow, too, but I clearly need to change something in my advertising because it's not being easily understood. Would you say "72 hours after your wedding" or "by Tuesday"?
I would love to know what plugin you are using in wordpress to create that collage image to pop up on your blog, but not in the actual post! I'm struggling to make this happen on my own site.
Question…I’m staring and most of my work is second shooting, if the main photographer is fine with me posting…what are your thoughts about blogging second shooter pictures?
Hello Katelyn, thank you for this very helpful video. I am a wedding photographer in suburban Boston. Question, once you run the images through Blogstomp, (which I think is now called storytailor, ???) am I correct in stating that blogstomp just creates image file, in your desired composition, with helpful tags, correct? You still add text latter which making the actual post, correct? I am playing with the demo for StoryTaylor and I do not see a tool for adding text other than a title and caption. Thank you so much.
This question might be better suited for Ty... but as a photography & videography team, we struggle getting blogs out quick because I don't want to blog just the photos when we're wanting to share the video too! As much as I'd love to turn our highlight videos around faster, I just don't think that it's possible for us right now. So, that being said, what might be your recommendation for someone like us who does photo AND video on wedding days but still wants to blog quickly?
