In ‘76 Debbie was 31….Doesn’t look like a day over 20 ! Her voice is dreamy and breathy perfection, yet she smoked. Very beautiful yet a wild child look. The girl was and is, a paradox. Add to this her amiable and agreeable interview personality and it is hard to think of anyone today who comes close. A shout out too for the band…it all just came together perfectly. Love Blondie.

Growing up in Australia in the 70s & 80s I remember when "Molly" Meldrum first played them on 'Countdown', the weekly music show he used to host. Like so many others I was smitten equally by Debbie Harry's beauty and talent. It took me over 35 years before I saw the band live but I don't think I will ever forget it.

As an Aussie I've always been a little proud that we " discovered" Blondie and the gorgeous Debbie Harry when this song reached #2 on the Aussie Singles charts back in 1976. In The Flesh is a brilliant song from an under appreciated album and Debbie looks a little nervous in this video, but it adds to her appeal in my opinion, she is one of the most beautiful women in history.

This song had a retro feel to it even back then, didn't it? It's reminiscent of an earlier decade. By contrast, "Atomic" seems to be from the future.

In The Flesh was one of Blondies earlier hits in 1976 Written by Deborah Harry and Chris Stein and is one of my all time favorite Blondie songs.

Debra Harry evoked so many different emotions, and this awesome song is a great example.

Boy, could Deborah sing ! What a voice. And she really looks hot here. I remember growing up listening and dancing to her big hits of 1979 - such as Heart of Glass and others. But, I don't remember this one. Thanks to Utube, I'm able to enjoy this. It has a 1960's sound to it.

Debbie is real, an icon, streets ahead of anything that's happening now. The 1970's was blessed with minimal technology, mobile phones and the internet were unheard of. I wish the world could rewind back to 1977, it might show the youth of today just how sad they are living their life under the plague of Facebook Twitter and the politically correct bollocks of today.

Pure natural beauty and talent. No crap

The mid-late seventies punk and "new wave" brought back the wonderful sensibilities of the 60's pop and garage bands. Short, simple, melodic, enjoyable tunes. I loved the early 70's "progressive" rock with all those great british groups, but by '75 the time was ripe for a new era of music. Unfortunately, by 1980 creative rock had run its course and everything since has been boring repetition of rock's golden age.
