I think she's the most beautiful woman of all time. Totally mesmerising whatever she does and she can even make a bin liner look the business. Atomic and that brilliant outfit she was wearing and Heart of Glass. That dress and scarf were dynamite 👌🏼

In ‘76 Debbie was 31….Doesn’t look like a day over 20 ! Her voice is dreamy and breathy perfection, yet she smoked. Very beautiful yet a wild child look. The girl was and is, a paradox. Add to this her amiable and agreeable interview personality and it is hard to think of anyone today who comes close. A shout out too for the band…it all just came together perfectly. Love Blondie.

This is a rock and roll history moment. When this video aired in Australia, Blondie finally broke big over there on the airways, after only having success on the club tour in England and the U.S. Soon after the Australian success, they had the manager and record label that would take them to the top, all over the world.

Rock n roll died with the Eagles and then came Blondie with pure American Pop. They did Reggae, Disco, rock, punk, rap and even French Ballads. It didn't matter. It was all superficial, all fake - and all perfectly beautiful like her face. Everyone else followed Debby and Chris. Love Blondie.

Darlin' darlin' darlin' I can't wait to see you Your picture ain't enough I can't wait to touch you in the flesh Darlin' darlin' darlin' I can't wait to hear you Remembering your love Is nothing without you in the flesh Went walking one day on the lower East side Met you with a girlfriend, you were so divine She said, "Hands off this one sweetie, this boy is mine." I couldn't resist you - I'm not deaf, dumb, and blind Darlin' darlin' darlin' Now you're out of town Those girls that you run with They bring my head down Ooh Darlin' darlin' Watch out if I see you 'Cause if you say hello It'll mean you wanna see me in the flesh Ooh warm and soft, in the flesh Ooh close and hot, in the flesh Ooh

As an Aussie I've always been a little proud that we " discovered" Blondie and the gorgeous Debbie Harry when this song reached #2 on the Aussie Singles charts back in 1976. In The Flesh is a brilliant song from an under appreciated album and Debbie looks a little nervous in this video, but it adds to her appeal in my opinion, she is one of the most beautiful women in history.

Debbie is real, an icon, streets ahead of anything that's happening now. The 1970's was blessed with minimal technology, mobile phones and the internet were unheard of. The mid-late seventies punk and "new wave" brought back the wonderful sensibilities of the 60's pop and garage bands. Short, simple, melodic, enjoyable tunes. I loved the early 70's "progressive" rock with all those great british groups, but by '75 the time was ripe for a new era of music. Unfortunately, by 1980 creative rock had run its course and everything since has been boring repetition of rock's golden age.
