Only complaint I have about metal bands is I don't care for ridiculous long intros that go on for 5 or 6 minutes, that can make you lose intrest.

Agreed. Intros are fine when they are an essential piece of the song and their length doesn't exceed their place within the track. The ones that drone on & on basically repeating the same pattern for 3, 4, or 5 minutes (or more!) definitely are seriously off-putting!!!

Intros like that are supposed to set the scene. If you want something to mash your head to, perhaps you'd like something else. Metal Albums are more like journeys than pop radio for McDonald's work

@@electricelf-musichmm - not exactly sure what you are implying (or trying to imply) by the "pop radio at McDonald's" quip? I've been listening to hard rock/heavy metal music albums for nearly 50 years now so I've heard every song structure imaginable. Intros that last a minute or 2 to "set the scene" for the upcoming track are fine and can be exceptional at times when they fit into the context of the song. It's the overly lengthy ones that go on far too long and don't really add anything to the song itself that we don't care for. When it's like that then it's just album filler.

Most intros suck IMO! Some are OK, this one wasn’t too bad, kind of like Eivor but not as good.

@@TheAdrianSmith oh that why,sorry,it is my opinion..your band need second guitarist..or all guitar riffs you must add in studio..to sound like two guitarist.. am fan of Amon Amarth,Suidakra,Rhapsody,Megadeth,Saxon,Bathory..and hear many others bands..and when music is ultimate uniqe and good have my atention...
