Yes, it's a very small detail but it's honestly my favorite thing in this entire video. It's the only thing I saw that I actually wish was part of the original game.
I love how this mod brings tons of creative weapons and improved shooting feedback to the game! It will be perfect if the modder can make the game ever gorier(like Nash Gore).
@@Chaingun I second that. For the most part, it is actually less gory than the original. Mostly, due to that blob-ish blood sprite that overshadows everything else. That, and a lack of those perfect Rise-of-the-Triad-style body explosions.
@@daninogil I'd claim to the contrary. It is the removal of hitscan weapons greatly offsets gunplay, and makes precision attacks problematic. Moreover, your shots often get "stuck" in doorways and objects and corners. Also, since you don't "noclip" through gibs on the ground - and you don't have the pitchfork to clear them, this makes fine movement and precision shooting in tight quarters downright impossible. New enemies are just "meh", but are very poorly balanced, relative to the original roster and in relation to the guns you are given. New weapons more often than not - are rather questionable: why dual-wield sawed-offs permanently, when it seems to do the same damage as the original's single sawed off? Why have a secret "Gatling gun", when Tommygun is more effective? Furthermore, - in order to get to a certain weapon mode you have to waste time: switch from akimbo to single, then a special fire mode - and go through this double/single shenanigans every time for most of your workhorse weapons. Shotgun fire rate is slow, but the flaregun fire rate is something else entirely. Like a turtle. The list can go on. This may look like Blood (without shadows, that is), and it may sound like Blood, but it definitely does not play like Blood. Not at all.
Some of the additional weapons are good (like having the akimbo 6 shooters right at the start), but a lot of the new modded additions don't jive with BLOOD's vanilla arsenal. Not too me anyway. I do like some of the changes to the enemies though, and the way Caleb's skin grows back as he rises from his own grave is just too good 👍
This mod is a bit unbalanced and way too many weapons and items to the point it detracts from the flow of the game. Less is more. It's a good mod but it's bloated. It has great features but way too many goofy weapons and items.
I love it and have been playing with this mod for a long time. My gripe is with the projectile bullets instead of hit scan. The shotguns, tommy guns, and grinder just spread far too much.
Is there an option to play this with the graphical improvements but without the gameplay additions? Really awesome work, but it looks like it messes with play balance pretty significantly.
Besides Extra Crispy mod, what other else mod did you use? I can see that the level design, the lights and the atmosphere looks so great but I instaled the EC mod and i didn't see the changes... What configuration did you use?? Did you use a filter o something like that?
Yet oddly fitting especially the Crank gun/Gatling gun since that one seems especially lore friendly to blood like you could very well see Caleb actually use such a weapon
Cool visuals and additions, but... a MAC-10 in the 1930's? And Duke's Devastator? I like almost everything about this mod except for some of the guns. The revolvers are cool tho.
I like the additions, mainly the revolvers and that akimbo is possible whenever player choses to tho, some of those new weapon skins seem ugly, which I wouldnt mind but it seems some of them replace vanilla skins and love that life leech now seems to have useful primary attack
Is this a sort of 2nd installment? Do you actually need something along with the game that was in moddb? You somehow happen to be the best nerd even when it comes to modding this lmao.
I'd prefer the sword be a axe. Hacking feels more blood like than slashing. And the shotgun should either have a Drum Magazine or be a Sjögren. It looks like Caleb raided Duke and Wang's closets for those weapons, and he has too much personality for that.
I tried this on my phone, I had to extract, then repacked it without the readme files.. I get the "extra crispy" logos, but thats all thats changed for me. No new intro or starting with weapons.. 🤷♂️🤷♂️ Anything else I need to do to get this running??
blood uncensored build the gargoyles could bite the heads of cultist monolith had to censor blood to get the game reasled if you don't believe me ask the bloods developers it was supposed to be more violent .
how do you install? Ive downloaded the mod and it says to put the bec_1.1 in the blood folder. There is no blood folder but there is a file named blood that is a "configuration settings". pls help
because build engine belongs to PC. eg powerslave on PC is BUILD but on consoles it's totally different game actually using another engine (just like DOOM on SNES, it's an engine written from scratch using DOOM assets)
