I would have liked to see the vampires still being weak to sunlight and Miles Morales still being a vampire, and so now he can only operate at night, and he could be doing nighttime escapades and it would be Batman like where he goes out at night, strikes from that shadows, and has dark and amazing stories like that. That would have been awesome, but I will take what we got.
Doom has never lied he only twists the truth in his favor. In the end, Doom saved the world from everyone else's point of view, but for him to save the world means something more.
Now that I think about it, yea...it does kinda feel like this event was a waste to just make Doom Sorcerer Supreme. They could've either done this in the main Strange book or heck, G.O.D.S would've fit better for the occasion 😂
It... I did like this, although I wished for more. I would have either done two things: 1. Blade possessed by Varne becoming this ultra powerful dark God that can consume entire plants and stars goes out into the universe and does that and takes out a lot of races and people and he takes his forces with him and with his powers he encases them in darkness to protect them from sunlight like a extra layer or skin or a suit, and him and his forces go around doing that, feasting on people, then the Avengers and the Guardians of The Galaxy and others that have survived his onslaught unit to face him and it is unliving darkness God Varne and his forces vs all of those people like on some Avengers Endgame type of stuff where he is a universal level threat where others have to be involved, and they win that way. 2. They make it to where when Blade drank Dracula's blood that it drove him insane and Varne used that opportunity to possess Blade because his mind was already fractured, and when they do force Varne out of Blade, that instead of Blade being ok Blade would still be crazy and he would still lead the assault with the vampires and attack the heroes because he is just instinctual, insane, bloodthirsty, and monsterous who just wants to kill and feed. So, they do that, and they end up defeating Blade, and that would then lead into Blade going down the road to having to do things to make up for that and redeem himself. Something like either of those. Tell me what you all think.
I was at Comic-Con and not only did Marvel spoil this ending, they also said we’d get a surprise” book announcement at the X-Men panel. The book was “Psylocke”, which was already announced. Pepe Larraz’s art was a treat and I did enjoy the story. Just woulda been nice to have some better planning by Marvel.
Thanks for the reviews on this series. You always give us the hookup with the good lore and history. I wonder how things are with Miles on a genetic level? I mean, he has spider DNA integrated into his system and now he's a vampire on top of that.
Yeah, saving the world can be interpreted in a number of ways. The world still has dangers, so saying you have my word to give back the title when the world is saved or out of danger isn't necessarily a lie because the world still has dangers and still needs saving.
Making a agreement with Doom? You can always expect a surprise (on his favor) in the end. He makes the expression "Don't Make Deals with The Devil" very easy to understand.
If I was a *Betting* man, I'd wager that's exactly why Varnè was used in the first place; a character that both has *SOME* pre-established existence in the Marvel landscape (for the comic history nerds) but also a villain no one would miss after the story concluded.....a "win-win" essentially 🤔
Doom doesn't lie and didn't lie here. In his better judgment, the world is not YET saved. He will keep his word ONCE that has been accomplished. Did Doom manipulate and arrange things so that Strange would surrender the title of Sorcerer Supreme to him? Assuredly. But that part about swearing to give the mantle back once the world is SAVED? That was all Stephen Strange my friend! That's on him! Strange set himself up for that.
@@ytsi7505 According to the Marvel Database: Vampires have a mystical aversion to entering any human dwelling place to which they were not verbally invited. A human bitten by a vampire but not fully transformed can invite a vampire. This appears to only be the case with personal dwellings, as vampires have been seen entering public buildings without the need of being invited inside. Vampires have been shown to burst into flames if they enter a private residence without being invited first.
We know miles will be a vamp in his book of at least 4 issues. I do wonder how this will work out. It seems he will be going after starling or almost feeding on her once or twice
9:48 Speaking of which, is *Jubilee* still a vampire? I know she got turned into one back in the day but I don't remember if that was ever resolved....or addressed 😬
Doom has been collecting way too much power lately, What is he up too. I’m betting Strange still has an Ace up his sleeve. A nice little twist since all Vampires are Daywalkers they should be forced to slowly transition back to humans, Cosmic balance
I think this might be the worst thing Jed McKay has written at Marvel, there were lots of great looking villains. He created some real stakes for the heroes &Marvel universe, only to undo most of it by issue two. Every modern writer must up-end the status quo or go out of their way to change the rules. Dracula &vampires walking around during the day, the sun having no effect on them is Twight level stupidity. McKay has written Doc-Strange, why'd he make him look like such a retarded chump? Strange didn't do a binding-spell or a blood oath? Strange better have a long term play involved in all the goings on; otherwise McKay is ruining Strange, Doom & Dracula &vampires as a whole
11:05 I don't mean to be offensive but my guess you've been burned by comics before so you are skeptical maybe? To Ernie I hope I got the spelling correct
The most annoyingly overpowered overrated plot armor enabled people are Batman Doom Reed Richard's They are literally the master of everything within minutes of discovering exists. It gets old
