Blood Incantation "Absolute Elsewhere" Review (STARGATE TRAVERSED, MESSAGE RECEIVED: THIS RULES!) 

My god, this album is amazing. This is bordering 10/10 for me and my end of year list is going to be even more difficult to do. Love, love, love it

Love how people call them pretentious because they do not like/understand the 70s proggy/ambient stuff they do. Pretentious is when you cannot pull it off, not when you do it in a context you cannot understand. They actually do the prog stuff pretty damn good Anyhow, love the record, I bought it right after I heard the single and it will be in my end of the year list.

Album of the year for me. It's all just done so damn well.

It does have Panthymonium and Disembowlment vibes but unique to their own sound.

This new Blood Incantation album might be their best yet and one of the best death metal albums of the year. I’m absolutely living the Pink Floyd, King Crimson, and Tangerine Dream influences on this album.

This is the AOTY. Once in a while a band will manage to capture the imagination of the community and send shockwaves through the scene, becoming unavoidable and feeling inevitable. This band and album do that. Their artistry and aesthetic accomplishment are remarkable. This is an incredible record that gives Blood Incantation a serious lead to become a genre-defining band of this generation. It is THAT good and has the virtue of elevating their prior records, fleshing out a narrative of their artistic development. Utterly remarkable.

Solid review guys, thank you. I'll give this a listen. While I'm definitely not a detractor of this band, I haven't necessarily gotten into them too much either. I have the debut EP and Starspawn, and find them fairly interesting, but I'm not really head over heels about them.

This album is killer! In the UK this CD is expensive, but I don't give a fuck cos if any album deserves a physical purchase it's this one! Great review fellas, I really enjoyed this!

Starspawn was always a 5 for me. Because this surpasses it, then this is also a 5 for me haha. I'm glad people are hype about this with me. Because there are a few too many weirdos that try to act like they are a hipster act. As if Sean Reinert and Chuck Schuldiner would be rolling in their graves over something like this.

Great review! Honestly haven’t really sat down with this band before. Sounds like I have to check this one out. I listen to everything from Robin Trower to Incantation. Also Necros Christos rules so that’s another reason to check this out 😊

This and Ulcerate are the best death metal releases for me. Going in my top 10 of the year for sure.

I beg of you to review Devenial Verdict review this week. I don't think you did their 2022 album and that was a mistake. This would very much rectify that mishap haha.

Solid album, and major props for attempting something different, but this isn’t the “Kill ‘Em All”, “Human”, whatever Dream Theater album you want to credit as “genre defining”.. What those albums had were hooks and memorability.. I guess if you’re looking for an experience, instead of an absolute classic, with every song being memorable for years to come, like anything off of “Human” or “Symbolic”, then this is it.. For me, I’ll still be waiting for that album that truly changes things

I saw them open for gorguts mayhem and cannibal corpse gotta be honest they sucked live but I think it had to do with their sound though couldn't hear nothing but they do have their own sound so much respect

Ok, that first song was epic aka the 1st half of the album. I think I'm going to hold off on listening to the 2nd epic and just buy the album. Usuallty, the AOTY talks are cliche but this one definitely feels like it is going to be worthy of the claim.
