Unabridged, the song is actually a really sad one about a rodeo accident, but the Country Bear version makes it less obvious what it's about...and the bear's chuckle at the end makes it 1000% creepier.
Nah, what makes it even MORE creepy is that despite it being about an actual accident, the guy who wrote it found the accident, and told his friends and family, and they found it amusing. It then turned into this kind of 'inside joke' thing, which is why the song is sung in the strange manner. It's in a 'mocking' way, so yeah, even more creepy 😭
I was just there and saw this firsthand. There are no words. You just have to experience it for yourself to see this unfold In real time. It’s like watching us land on the moon.
Papa was an engineer in the ‘60s at Disneyland. Worked on this one and the Lincoln robot. Needless to say we spent a lot of time there. Nana made fancy feathered hats and costumes for the Ice Capades at their house in North Hollywood. Her pet skunk was in Dr. Dolittle. Uncle was wardrobe designer for Green Acres and wrote episodes of The Six Million Dollar Man. Loved those days.
I watched this at Disney with my grandpa when he was alive and I was about 4 and I remember that it was his favorite attraction there. Watching this now low key gives me the creeps tho
Typed blood on the saddle and this came up never knew the bear covered it from Tex.. always thought it was the mess after a bear attack lol Saw the show when I was a kid--70s.. guess it's still there according to the comments.. that makes it pretty old, probably a maintenance nightmare by now.. like me 🤕
They have completely changed this song in Disney now… I just literally came out of this show 2 minutes ago and they changed it to remember me from coco.. you will be remembered with your amazing song big al…..
Okay so when my dad was about really young he heard of this part on the show like we're a bear was singing this song which states blood on the ground which was really creepy
Well, it doesn't actually say that part in the attraction. It's a country song by Tex Ritter, who was a children's musician as well and did lots of cowboy songs. Scary? Come on, man. That's frontier fun lol
This song was soooo creepy. It stuck in my memory for the past 4 decades!!! How was this a Disneyland attraction for young kids, I will never understand!
actually it wasnt never ment tl be creepy the song it self is a story lf a sad rodeo accident but at disney its more funny because big besr sings song and also interrupts other song
The song itself is actually really sad, but the fact that the guitar is out of tune and the singing is off key, coupled with the chuckle that makes Big Al sound like he's under the influence of alcohol at the end makes it so unintentionally funny.
The bears are still there. Just updated with new music and costumes. Can't wait to see it in a few weeks. Looks fun. Anaheim is getting a Coco ride, at least that was what was announced.
@@lilyderooij Gotcha! I've been visiting MK since the early 70's (I'm that old). It's a theme park, not a museum, and needs to evolve for the newer generations to enjoy.
