Back when she got released and I complained about her having a broken kit, coomers were justifying it by saying that she has a bad winrate, therefore it absolutely means that the champion is not broken. How the tables have turned.

@@philippdascher9259 avoid fighting while the barrier is up and lure her out of it, CC her and get out of her main crosshair by moving fast. Shes just another fighter like irelia or tryndamere

I've tried that myself, you can become an unlikable behemoth if you get ahead, but otherwise (at least with my lack of ability) you become useless the whole game

Well Illaoi E is pretty telegraphed and that’s her main source of damage, so that’s pretty much all Gwen had to play around.

Sadly she scripted.. I didn't even need a 1 minute search to find which script she was using

She was entering the brush with no vision and used the ability to safeguard counter attacks from the brush. Not a cheater

It's pretty easy to see when illaoi is fishing for an e, Gwen's reactions arent cheating, she just could tell when zwag was looking for the e

Idk what cheats look like in this game but it did look like something activated there when zwag used the ability. Because she was focused on shaco, and it just popped up in time.

Even if she did have cheats, losing this hard against a champion that you're meant to counter pretty hard is just sad.

what happened with that gwen was she made the mistake of thinking she could kill level one. gwen should NOT look for a level one kill, and is much better off letting you live on low hp so she can lane for free. if this happens, just collect 300 gold, back and buy boots and tp back. if you get boots early gwen cannot run you down in lane for a level 6 kill, which is what i go for. if you get ahead instead, back and buy a bramble vest. if you do this gwen literally cannot trade with you and she will suffer.

oh, and also she doesnt deal max health true damage, nor does she heal from it. her natural healing is from her passive, which is just regular magic damage, and isnt even converted to true damage if she hits a center Q. her ult also does not apply her passive, and this does not deal any max health damage whatsoever.

Yomuu's shares the same passive as Deadman's (momentum). It still has great damage and lethality, but another item with same stats and a different passive may be better

Gargoyle and Steraks only work well when you have high health, which makes %hp dmg champs stronger against you. Plus 1 item negates all those shields (Serpents fang)

Build Grievous wounds or Thornmail i hhad some games where she was stomping my team and one thornmail or a even just a bramble would slow her down enough we could fight even 2v1 if she was too fed.

If you need help beating an illaoi just let me know. I main the champ so I know exactly what gets an illaoi.

Actually depends on the matchup.. I main this champ and yeah q max is good for almost every matchup, but against the beefier targets like large tanks it’s better to max e first.

@@tysonkeller1761 then you're not putting enough thought into it. Let me explain: Tentacle Smash (Q) at max rank has a cooldown of 6 seconds before any ability haste. Conversely that cooldown is 10 seconds at rank 1. Test of Spirit (E) has a duration of 7 seconds. Even with a small amount of ability haste it becomes far easier to land 2 Tentacle Smashes and 2 Harsh Lessons during a single E with max Q and is impossible to do without over 80% ability haste with at rank 1 Q. That extra Q is going off with so much extra frequency that you are also really hard to beat during all ins as you heal 5% of your missing health with Q 80% more often. It also means that if you pop the Spirit with your initial barrage of abilities (1 Q into W into second W) then you stand a good chance of landing another Q while they are being slowed. If you end up getting that E slow and the tentacle curse then those tentacles that spawn are also hitting harder and your ult becomes 18% better as all the tentacles spawning also do 18% more damage by comparison.
