What a fantastic band. This was the era of big horn bands like CHICAGO and some soul acts. BST was a force of nature. And, David Clayton Thomas was a beast of a vocalist...one of the best of all time. The instant he sang a word, you knew who it was.
Lennon & McCartney would disagree with you. What they achieved in seven short years will forever be the standard by which everyone else has to measure themselves to.
such a powerful voice and lyrics DCT had and the BS&T musicians haven't been equaled, they blazed the trail others could only follow..CTA...close second imho... peace ya'll
They could never equal their second album, as David took them to another level. Chicago would go on to carry the brass rock band torch for decades longer, but what BS&T achieved with that record would stand the test of time as the best. Every song a masterpiece.
Back when this was recorded I always thought to myself that this was the band by which the others are judged. I still think BS@T's were at the cutting edge of music genius.
You listen to the records and think a good voice. But to hear him live. He sounds very very good. His voice live holds up very well. Really better than most all. They are having a lot of fun up there.
Someone left the cake out in the rain, And I don't think that I can take it, 'Cause it took so long to bake it, And I'll never have that recipe again.' Richard Harris,

You can asses a good band when they play live without Ang USB or hidden computer to cheat thier performance Rafael Villanueva fr manila Philippines!!!!
David Clayton Thomas gave the band its signature sound after he took over following the departure of Al Kooper.....but the real star of this song is the late, very great Laura Nyro....who wrote it....
Saw them in Anaheim that tour too . My first real concert and a month later I got to see Credence in San Diego. So many great music memories. When I saw BST when it came time for David to sing Yehaw several fans joined him and he liked it.
There was an episode, rather poorely known, that BS&T looked for a new singer for them. And that Polish singer C. Niemen was seriously considered to join the team.

@@chogolisa Ah, another great voice, that it doesn't matter what language they use, just the sound of their singing crosses the language barrier, music is the universal language. Here's another example, two Korean pop singers, I had no idea what they're saying when I first heard it (they've since added subtitles), but you can feel the anguish in the sound of their voices: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fDPogPBMApI.html
