This group seems to fly under the radar when people list the best artists of the 60s & 70s. This one is an amazing demonstration of the arranging talent and the voices. Love this one too. Thanks for the great reaction, as usual!
Blood, Sweat & Tears is a jazz-rock music group founded in New York City in 1967. They are noted for their combination of brass & rock band instrumentation. Especially love their stuff when David Clayton-Thomas joined as their lead singer. They have had a lot of great songs such as "Hi-De-Ho", "Lucretia MacEvil", "Lisa Listen To Me", "I Can't Quit Her", "Got To Get You Into My Life" etc.
The great Al Kooper on organ. Al also played the amazing organ on Bob Dylan's "Like A Rolling Stone" and many other great tracks. He discovered a bar band in Atlanta and sighed them to their first record deal, That band was Lynyrd Skynyrd. Al produced their first the albums. He hated "Simple Man" and refused to record the song. Ronnie Van Zant escorted Al out of the studio and the band recorded it by themselves. Al ended up liking the so so much he added organ to it. Al recorded several tracks for Skynyrd using the name Roosevelt Gook.
It has been YEARS since I’ve heard this one-happy memories! I was in band in school and, in high school, we warmed up every day with a snippet from Blood, Sweat, and Tears.
I've loved this since it first came out. Love the brass. Love David Clayton-Thomas' voice. This album was in constant rotation with Bridge Over Troubled Water and Tapestry at my apartment in the early 70's. Fabulous.
This group is SO good!!! I love this song!! Major flashback!! Thank you!!!! I agree with another comment to check out Chicago! Chicago is another fantastic group with horns!!
Memories activated! My (then) boyfriend and I saw BS&T in concert more than once when we were dating! We've been together 50 years, married 45+, and this was OUR song. Wow. Haven't heard this in way too long. So glad to see someone else discovering the awesomeness of this group. Thanks for the reaction!
Their brass and organ BG instruments are awesome! That is also what I like about older Chicago, along with the vocals like this too, just like others are saying too!! You definitely need to do some Chicago!!❤❤ Great reaction!👏👏👏

I have that album they are of my generation. Several groups back then were really good, not as popular as The Beatles or The Stones, but very talented as well, Grand Funk RailRoad is another group, and The Band, The Band and The Doors are probably my two favorites from back then.
I guess next one would be Hi-De-HO. BST with singer DAVID CLAYTON-THOMAS. Fusion of JAZZ and rock. Do remember when this band and soooo many others came out. WHAT AN ENRICHMENT in MY LIFE. Thanks you Patrol Nation.
I had this on cassette. I need a favor buddy. You played a request of mine before. I've been everywhere making request for a year. Crickets. Would you do Everytime I Roll The Dice by Delbert McClinton and The Guitar by Guy Clark. A toetapper and a cool story.
