One of the worst bugs I have encountered is double clicking bandages in your inventory will make them disappear D: Awesome video Kirk! I was like you when it comes to the demo back then - I even took it off my wishlist then but now it's way different for the better for sure.
The moment people started describing this as single player Hunt: Showdown I was in. Not the mention that these devs made ELDERBORN, which is an absolute banger. As always, very informative, quality video. Are you playing Dying Light 2 Kirk? I can't stop playing it XD
Im a huge fan of Hunt Showdown and the whole wild west cursed horror theme, so this is looking like candy to me. Lets just hope the final release is polished to perfection so we can have an awesome experience.
My only nitpicky criticism is the ragdolls. Just not a fan of retro looking games with modern ragdoll effects. However retro style graphics in a wild west theme? Sign me up!!
People need to stop comparing everything to dark souls. As if everyone is a fan of the series. It's just a random game, why not compare everything to tetris
@@KIRKCOLLECTS It's just strange because those game mechanics existed before dark souls. Much more excited for this after watching your video though. Also excited for Kingdom of the Dead
@@KIRKCOLLECTS didn't think so but thanks for the response. I'm just not good with movement in game on a keyboard. My left hand is real uncoordinated and grew up on consoles so I really only play strategy and RPG games on PC becuae you mostly only use the mouse
I'm wondering why these games always use a 2D/3D-Engine instead of for example the old Unreal- or Thief-Engine? Does this mean so much more work for the developers? I believe these Oldschool-Shooters would benefit from the usage of such an engine.
@@bubrub5564 The dark engine is available to the public, source code and everything. There is a active fan mission making community. It's just not possible to legally sell anything made with the dark engine.
It's a pain in the ass. See: WRATH It's a lovely game so far but choosing to use the Quake engine seems to have caused far more work than any other modern engine would have.
Wow... seems like this game accomplishes something pretty rare these days: it allows for different builds, you either play it like Doom (straight out shooter) or like Deus Ex (stealth) or BOTH play styles alternating between them. Message to the devs: DO NOT RUIN YOUR GAME on updates!! "Balancing" is boring, "balancing" breaks games, it happened countless times by now with all sorts of games. Allow for BROKEN builds, unbalanced builds, that's the appeal of games like these, the versatility of them and replay value with different builds. Stick with your original VISION, the peasants giving feedback don't know what they're talking about, often these people that complain and give feedback don't come back to actually PURCHASE your game, they are not your core audience of customers.
bruh can they please choose a new name, anything but "west" cause of so many other games using the same combo in their own titles. It's gonna be a hella forgetful to viewers to keep track at this rate
First person games with focus on the environment. The name is stupid, "Free-Action" is a better name and I want people to normalise it over "Immersive Sim".
@@NebLleb I agree that Immersive Sim is a bad name, but I'm not sure I really like Free Action either. Can we just call them a First Person RPG? That's essentially what they are...
