This item is the Magic Version of Rose Gold Meteor, and it is also a self-protection item for Mages. I usually buy it when I buy the third item (including boots). Although buying shield earlier is less, it is enough to increase survival rate. Although Magic Tanks and Fighters rarely use this item, and it is considered RGM for Assassin, it is different for Support. Compared with Holy Crystal, Blood Wings is more suitable for Support because it is cheaper and has shield + Movement Speed. I know that many players want Movement Speed, so I am curious why some players choose not to buy it. (90 Magic Power is high)

Honestly a good first item for grock it has dmg and survivability increase, since in the early game you dont really need anti heal much you can just save anti heal as the second item

Luo Yi can also take advantage of this item since spamming her first skill gives you shield and it can also stack up. The more shield she gets, the higher her survivability. She also needs to be a little closer to the enemies so building this item is a perfect choice IMO.

This item is also pretty good for hanabi, sure you don't get extra damage (doesn't really matter, hanabi's damage comes from DHS anyway) but you get what hanabi lacks, survivability and mobility

@@tgnm9615these days mostly people are just using boots and glowing wand as priority items. Then u go wings as 3rd item for heroes like aurora or vexena, the shield helps with the assassin meta. Or talisman as third item for heros like nova, Yve, valentina who need mana and CD. Then u can directly go for the divine glaive to melt the front line. Last is usually winter and holy crystal

Genius is an early game item, and yes divine and genius do conflict, u can buy it but I think it's a waste of gold, and it's difficult for mages to farm gold. I personally just buy divine as 3rd or 4th item depending upon enemy comp and the mage I'm using.

@@tgnm9615 you only lose 2.1% magic pen when you buy genius wand and 2.1% is so low that it doesn't even matter. Lowering the enemies' magic def by a flat -21 is better than gaining an extra 2.1% pen. Add in the normal pen from GW, you penetrate a total of 31 magic def while only losing 2.1%pen. To put it into perspective, suppose the enemy has 200 magic def. With only DG, you pen 100 magic def. With only GW, you pen 31 magic def. While with both, you pen 128 magic def. That extra 28 pen will come very handy.

for the forbidden hanabi blood wing build, id recommend feather of heaven instead of corrosive scythe in a pure atk speed build as it gives magic scaling dmg and additional lifesteal.. also she can pair both glowing wand and dhs for even more dps

Nah some of mages like lylia or valir etc is a slow/stun heroes that prioritized build like glowing wand, ice queen wand,or the lantern item, and enchanted talisman they're not gonna have that much magic power making the bloodwings less effective

Nice vid. I suggest u make comparison between wishing lantern(WL) n lghtning trncheon(LT). As WL just got a buff on mana n increase mgc pwr making it similar to LT. Devs also intended this. I know LT for squishy enemy lineup, WL for tanky enemy lineup n i used LT the most before. Now, i no longer using LT at all n replace it with the buffed WL. Reasons: 1. WL got better dmg even for squishy enemies. 2. WL can reveal enemies better with longer effect animation coming from u n teammates can also see it easily. 3. LT limited to 3 enemies, while WL affects all. 4. WL no cd. 5. WL can interrupt enemy recall n regen with delay dmg coming from far away (xavier).

Combine that with COD the armor and magic resist from COD will harden the shield, ideal if you enemies have lot of assassins, mobile finisher, or mobile burster

Blood wings should remain the underrated item! Sometimes you require both a Glowing wand and a Lantern and then you have to pair it with Holy crystal and then one Penetration item as well. Adding this item is like changing the whole build and compromising magic power.

please make a video about wishing lantern i think it overrated it deal pretty low damage especially against squishy it only deal good damage to high hp enemy Compared to demon hunter sword it's passive is too hard to trigger that don't even count that if the enemy is too far away like if you hit using Xavier or diggie or kimmy from afar it takes too long to reach them

This item alone saved me multiple times in team fights amd early ganks, I recommend you prioritize buying it as either 2nd or 3rd item, or when you feel the enemy can burst you down your lane. It's really great to get early, you just need to get a bit more gold but the requirement items are quick to grt early game.

no, not all mages can do that. half the mages need the book first for more magic points and faster cooldown. Yea you'll survive but your teammates won't when you run out of mp and your skills takes too long to cooldown. And besides, early game benefits mages a lot because you can recall to fill up health and go right back into the battlefield again since midlane is the shortest to travel.

I honestly think the shield should regenerate after maybe 12 seconds of staying out of battle (like how the turtle shield worked) Simply because trying to kill the enemy mage but all the sudden the shield pops up, don't tell me that's not annoying It also should scale with level and magic power to make it weaker in early but stronger in late because many mages actually buy it as first or second item, simply very versatile that it should be a little restricted
