I remember seeing Bloodbath at the Party San Open Air. Åkerfeldt was totally drunk and kept missing the microphone stand, but nailed every song. He also told a joke that I found hilariously funny, but forgot five minutes later. To this day I don't know which joke that was.

The guy showing off by playing the guitar upside down, Dan Swanö, started off as the drummer in this band. A lot of the best songs on this set are from "Resurrection through carnage" that he drummed on, and also wrote. Straight-up legend.

Mikael is, hands down, the best vocalist (not just death metal). To be able to play the guitar with strings upside down is madness but Dan played it with such ease. To Mikael & Dan 🍺

Mikael's voice on the nightmares made flesh album is just insane, it's amazing how his voice changes when he sang for bloodbath and opeth.

As an extreme metal elitist, I must say that this goes to top ten shows of extreme metal of all time easily.

Nobody realizes the sheer legendary and rare performance they are about to see.

We will never hear Mikael growl this well again. Therefore, we will never hear growls this good again.

Saw opeth on tour with God forbid and nevermore. While nevermore was great, Opeth fucking crushed it for their Blackwater Park tour and Mike was the nicest guy to meet. Hard to believe that voice could come out of such a soft spoken man!
