This Bloodborne cinematic short explores the League and its Confederates, with Valtr, Master of the League as its focal point. Follow along with Valtr in the Hunter's Nightmare while three Hunters explore what the League has to offer. A short glimpse into Valtr's past also reveals what beast he was following through Yharnam.
Bloodborne Chronicles is a lore exploration series through short cinematic videos. The subject of these shorts is merely my own interpretation of what I think about when playing Bloodborne, and is not canon by any means.

Valtr may be borderline mad like any other NPC you meet in the game, but hell, he is probably the most compassionate, supportive, and helpful of them all.

@@mrjooxmanallah Bruh, can get the Madaras Whistle if you crush like 5 Vermin. If you're offline all you have to do is kill the 3 red-eyed Old Hunters in the Nightmare and summon Valtr to defeat Ludwig and Laurence.

@@Fieldhouz I've always thought Bloodborne has an intriguing system of "bait and switch" with its characters. Alfred is ultimately insane, the Chapel Dweller is kind, and I think Valtr straddles the line of sanity at best, but he is also like you said a good man. He really does seem like he wants to help, in his own cackling way.

William H and Simon always struck me as a sleazy man who’s not to be trusted (felt he would stab us in the back), yet ultimately is our guide through Old Hunters who just wants the suffering to end.

@@Fieldhouz Yep, and of course Ariana and Adella are fairly obvious examples of this; the covetous priestess and the kind prostitute. Interestingly enough is how the only mentally stable person who tells the truth is Annalise. She never lies to you, but unlike the majority of the other insane but honest characters she is completely sane

@@Fieldhouz one thing that I love about him considering the actions of a lot of other from softwares npc like alfred valtr is 100% genuine and hasn't the slightest bit of Evil or malice in his character and the league itself is one of the more morally pure factions within soulsborne as unlike the church where the majority are power hungry the league really does want to save people from the horrifying creatures that plague the land

Valtr represents a portion of the playerbase such as I. I don't care about PvP or success, I care about the moment I get to smash the freak creatures that inhabit the game, I enjoy that the most, and that is who Valtr is beautifully portrayed as. When I met this dude in game I instantly knew I wanted to be in the league. Jolly cooperation, crush vermin.

Valtr is definitely my favourite NPC and the league is definitely the best covenant. His voice acting is soooo good. The pure conviction in his voice. Amazing.

splinter360 I really like how FromSoft sprinkled the League throughout the whole game. While doing my research for this video I saw that you can even summon Yamamura for One Reborn and Paarl of all things. Valtr is definitely one of the more refined characters in the Soulsborne games. Even though he doesn’t move from his spot....haha. I agree with you completely about the voice acting. I loved listening to all the dialogue files while making this video.

Man I totally adore your style of lore-videos! They're so... fitting into the whole Bloodborne-theme. You could have done these as official character-trailers and nobody would notice anything. Keep on going strong man. Fear the Old Blood!

Bloodborne is the greatest game ever made and my favorite of all time. After 6 years still can't get enough of it, it's insane. This video is amazing and it's obvious from the quality of everything that you too are a league confederate for life lol Also the hunter attire combo you showed for the new league master in this? Interesting to note almost all characters in the game try to gain more eyes to be enlightened but valtr bucket make him only see with one maybe that’s why he is only slightly insane and the oedon Samaritan has no eyes being the most sane character in the game

I love the dialogue from the game when I joined the League. But man, the dialogue was good but you made it feel real, as if I was there myself seeing through the eyes (lol) of Valtr. What video did you use specifically for the background music?

When does that bit at the end happen at 5:20? When does Valtyr say that? Great video by the way. This is one of the better and flushed out coop covenants I'd say. Granted the others are almost just as good but Valtyr seals the deal.

RagingImpaler you have to send the Afflicted Beggar to Oedon Chapel, and if you attack him there he will transform into the Abhorrent Beast. Then it’s just a matter of manipulating the AI aggro leash. And thank you! I love how at surface level there’s not much to Valtr or the League, but when you dig deeper there’s so much substance to it.
