For those of you wondering why Bloodsport didn't aim for the eye, he was shooting at the part of Starro's body that expels copies of itself in an attempt to stop it from creating more.
@@JaimeD. Yeah. especially because, otherwise, it would still be a risk to let starro summon more of those and insta kill them except for ratchather (thanks to her mask) and king shark (his face being too big)
I'm sorry but that sounds really dumb cause killing starro would also stop making copies lol, and the fastest way to do that is hit his eye considering it's huge and easily aimed at.
The reason I loved this sequence: his outfit wasn’t just a suit with armor plates. Each piece had a purpose. It was either a weapon, or an integrated weapon component. Start out with a hand gun, turn it into a rifle; which historically there WERE parts you could buy to turn six shooters into rifles.
it's very common to have handguns that turn into rifles, most of the time it's just a wooden stock, like the C96, or the 6 shooter rifle in The Hateful Eight by Quintin Tarantino. and it doesn't have to be historical at all, today there are plenty of kits people buy that turn handguns into rifles, like the Roni or MCK kits.
@@atfeldman123 powder leaks were highly prevalent with said platform but it was more powder fowling that would make the gun not cycle the cylinder properly and not allow it to fully align the chamber with the breach and cause the projectile to fire into the edge of the breach and cause over pressure in the cylinder and turn it into a highly effective grenade lmao.
And oddly enough that saying directly applies to what blood sport just did. He could've stopped after the third attachment but NOPE! he added a fourth bc why not?
For some people that are wondering the spinning thing in the gun would basically act as gyroscope which makes the gun stable and hold it's position without wobbling too much. Same tech is used for balancing in some robots or even used in self balancing motorcycles.
@@UncleRickyJr you have a fair perception. technically a rifle is called a rifle because of that. It has a spiral groove inside the barrel. That's why rifles are usually longer so that they have enough path for the bullets to aquire adequate spin. Longer the grooved path; the more stable the bullet emerges when shot. Those grooves are called riflings and the guns are called rifles because of that characteristic. In bloodsport's gun however the spin is outside of the gun and that short distance that the extension he put on covers wouldn't have made much difference. Plus it has extended weights protruding from the extension which wouldn't be necessary if it was just for the bullet. So we can be sure that it was for stabilization of the gun barrel for aiming long range rather than for the bullet itself.

Somewhere in the warp the emperor through his beacon watch over them and is happy the beauty of it all still remain despite the bleak and dark era they are inside of
I love that Bloodsport, Rick Flag, Peacemaker, and King Shark are portrayed as the powerhouses of the team for most of the movie, but then Harley, Polka Dot Man, and Rat Catcher are the ones to deal the most damage to Starro
@@AncientEsper Put a person with mental health problems infront of a 32 feet Starfish that has mind control abilities while killing thousands of people in minutes and see what they’ll do.
I love how stupid and silly Starro looks in this movie. It's just over-the-top and wonderful, and I enjoy it when comic book movies include stupid and charming things from the source material *as* the stupid and charming ideas they really are.
@@jamesverner9132 Why would he trust a species that tortured him for decades? I think what starro really meant with his dying words were, I was once a peaceful creature, then I met you and there was no going back. Thats my interpretation. What was done to him changed him forever, or at least he believed himself changed forever due to being drunk with the fresh overwhelming possibility of revenge, fueled by anger.
Anyone else notice that starro’s only beating the crap out of the building to fish out one guy? Like right around 0:16, if you look real closely he’s got a dude in his hand that’s screaming lol
I love how willing Bloodsport is to punch above his weight class. We're introduced to him by being told he fought and beat Superman and then here you have the moment where the entire squad starts backing off, but he holds firm and just unloads into a kaiju-sized intergalactic conqueror despite just having a gun.
In the Amalgam universe it probably happened. I mean, Bloodsport tried to fight Iron Man at one point and got fucked by Hal Jordan's Green Lantern so that isnt farfetched
I prefer Bloodsport’s Nanotech in this movie to his comic power of turning the air into any gun. It would have been cool to see, but I think it would make him just as ridiculous as some of the others.
At that point the VFX artists were having fun, like "Let's see how many thingamabobs we can add to this thing" It doesn't actually forward the story, it's just cool looking
"Harley, take the higher ground!" . . "Nanaue! Monster is nom nom!" "Monster nom nom?" "Yes!" . . "Abner! Do you see who that is?!" "Huh?!" *"IT'S YOUR MOM!!!!"*
@@elderrusty541 I love that the camera started on the arrow in the enemies eye and then panned to him loading another arrow and firing a second time, such a badass way to reveal a new weapon of his
In the comics his power is to summon any weapon from another dimension. I love how they reworked his power to still have any weapon but in a completely different way than before
@@David-fx1eq The recent comics really have made him OP because of this. Waller assigned him to travel the multiverse and basically scout and kidnap recruits for the Suicide Squad. He does this without any backup and is basically able to summon any weapon which can directly counter the powers of whoever he's facing. He's in effect a one-man squad.
I prefer him be limited to what his suit can do, because while it can store a lot of weapons, it helps add to the tension when he does run out and is left with nothing.
The Eye: "Hey look at me, I'm the softest, squishiest, and quite possibly the weakest part of the alien! I'm also big, centered, and easy to hit!" Bloodsport: **shoots anywhere but it**
I love how eventhough it's nanotech you can still clearly see where they're all coming from in the form of those weapons pieces planted all across his suit, and that in order to make them function he still has to take them off manually and are not conjured from out of the blue like Iron Man's tech. This feels more grounded and fun to watch
Fuck off. You think Bloodsports shit doesn’t come out of the blue?? You just saw him create an entire gun from bits and pieces. Stark just does it with his entire suit that comes from within his reactor now. Do you forget it’s NANO-tech either way?? So how are the two any different
@@masternoob9673 1. He has to manually take it off and form it bits and pieces 2. Stark just has a single thought and shit is formed out the blue If you can’t see his point then I suggest you go back to your special Ed teacher and ask them for explanation
@@danielhaire6677 If your point is that he didn't penetrate the eye because he didn't shoot at the eye, then yes, you are correct. The most logical question would then be, why didn't he shoot at the eye?
Bloodsport walking towards starro while shooting it, even though we know its barely just a tickle to him is really giving me a "your average Imperial guardsman on deployment" vibes.
@@thedorkknight5772 i'm just referencing how deadshot was originally supposed to bloodsport and james just said fuck it and took the same backstory from the first with his daughter 🤣
When it's hard to tell if the gun is CGI or a prop, or maybe a mix of both, you know they made a good job. People always complain about CGI in movies but the trick with it is to make the CGI feel like it is part of the scene, bad CGI looks like a video game character/object that's obviously fake, good CGI is one where you can buy that maybe the character/object is there. Same with Starro, it is very obviously CGI but the way it is animated and interacts with the scene does give the illusion that it is really there despite you subconciously knowing it is fake.
@@bayek8377he had no personal problem with superman he was just a hired firearm to kill him and almost did kill him but failed at the end this movie somehow proves even criminals have sense of justice and bloodsport couldn't get over the death of innocents so easy so here we are he's shooting😂
1st:Nano Hand Cannon 2nd:first attachment Increase Bullet Power 3rd:Second attachment Reduce Hip fire, recoil and increase bullet capacity also range 4th :Third attachment make bullet become Charged Ex bullet
The gun being assembled and firing was so badass. And I love that slight frustrated depression he started to show when he realized the gun was doing nothing.
Based on the rounds effects. I think he went from a pistol to a rifle to some kind of heavy shotgun to a grenade launcher once the gyroscopic stabilizer was on.
I think this movie has some of the best CGI I’ve ever seen. King Shark looks to be the most realistic fully CGI character I’ve ever seen, I mean this whole scene alone is a great example of perfect CGI. Starro, the nanotech gun, all of it.
Honestly this was satisfied as hell. The gun's component are so detailed and so smooth, that you can see it clearly. It's better than Tony Stark's nano tech, although i prefer MCU than DCEU
@@HeavenTheWorld70hjs I think what he meant waa visually in the movie. Not overall use in their respective world. I prefer mcu way over dceu but visually this nanotech looks better than wakandans nano and some of tony's nano scenes. Though I still love tony's a bit more during his fight with thanos at titan except the last part.
@@marcuswolve7297 yeah i mean nano tech mcu are in the different level, But nano tech got suit up in a second, so it look like a colony of ants just run to cover your body. Meanwhile, this gun is manually upgraded, so we can see the component one by one, That's what i say satisfiying
Y’know, I’m still not positive who’s my favorite of these five. They all are just so damn likable in the best ways, and unlikable in the best ways. Thank you James Gunn and DC for such a fun set of supers
At the second shot of him shooting the gun you can see how powerful the recoil is, so yeah i really like the artist that thought of adding the gyro to the gun
Nano technology. Can take on any form, changes size, easy storage, self powered generated, easy assembly and disassembly, less parts, very handy to have in your arsenal.
