As far as im aware John Cena doesnt have a contract that allows him to never lose in a movie or tv show. That already bumps him up farther than Dwayne.
@@tentaplayz3691he put his father in the ground, but the abuse and trauma and damage he did to peacemaker has been done. Even if he's dead, the memories of his father still haunt him
Standing up to a parent that put you through hell all your life isn't easy. John did an amazing job capturing that anger and hatred, especially the self hate you feel for hating your parent.
It’s kina crazy everyone saying this. I know it’s subjective and all but I honestly feel this C grade acting. Compare him to people like Cillian Murphy and Tom hardy I don’t see anything amazing here. The lines felt forced his cry was horrible. I also very strongly dislike super hero stuff so that could also be part of it.
@@MP-et1euour comparing him to A grade actors whove been acting in A grade movies FOR YEARS. One of which has a degree in acting. Id say Cena is B teir
I like start of the fight when Vigilante says "Oh shit" after White Dragon shows up. It's small but cool detail. In this show\universe, White Dragon is infamous retired super-villain, so Vigilante knew right away who he was and that he's a bad news. Like I said, tiny detail, but makes the world more immersive, because in DCU both superheroes and supervillains are kinda known public figures.
It was a very well done scene, great touch was the shock on his face after he did it. Did a great job of portraying him having a part of himself believe it could never happen that something or some part of him would stop him from doing it, even that there was a part of him that was hoping that something would stop him.
I think "Peacemaker" is great choice for John to build up some acting skills, because Peacemaker is goofy and over the top, so even if he messes up the lines it wouldn't look out of place that much. In my opinion he should pick more tongue-in-cheek projects like this instead of trying to prove to everyone he's some "serious drama actor". Also in my personal opinion, I think he's lot better then The Rock, the issue I have with Rock as an actor is that he pretty much always plays himself. John here, I did buy him as Peacemaker, I didn't see him as John Cena.
@@njmfffDwayne while i love him, gets himself pigeonholed to the stereotypical 1 dimensional badass character. Plus the ego thing i think holds him back from getting characters that are seriously flawed
@@brodyratliff7441 The Flash movie wrapped filming in 2021, but stayed in limbo because they didn't want to put it out in the middle of Ezra Miller's crime spree. James gun wasn't brought on to run things until late 2022, and only gave a small review saying he saw The Flash movie and it was good.😊
He s not But. He tries to give same vibe to everything, but it doesnt fit. DC was different because it was more serious. It fits to Peacemaker but not DC overall
I dont mind it at peacemaker, even Shazam or Suicuide squad. But Flash was really worse because of it, so much worse. Supes, ww, batman pr even Flash should stay more serious. Flash should be on level Flash series,.There were some jokes,.in film it was too much it was Just stupid
People say that you should leave the past behind. But sometimes the past never leaves you alone, no matter how hard you try to move past it. Improving your quality of life, trying to raise a family, being a better man, or just trying to tell yourself that you're going to be okay some day. These are good things, but only when they work. When they don't, the past just haunts you.
Seriously…. “What josiah saw” is a psychological thriller that I feel was really under the radar with popularity, and damn was that movie psychologically/ morally grimey. Robert Patrick is still killing it.
Thank god for David Chase. I saw an interview years back with Robert Patrick and he basically said Chase casting him in the Sopranos reignited his career.
@@kp1x you know he's the original T-1000 from T2? He also was in the x-files. Prolly no one remembers that. (took over for mulder(the reason no one remembers, they didn't watch it)). well actually he took over scully's role, but he wasn't the doctor. he was just the skeptic. and yea he looks almost like a different person in T2 somehow. It must be the lighting
@@Ake-TL that movie has been in development since 2017, premise changed three times, had multiple writers and directors, and had the whole thing delayed due to the pandemic. then on top of that, you have a universe reboot and a convicted lead actor. There was a lot wrong with its upbringing, but it could’ve been much worse.
This show is absolutely amazing. One of my favorite shows. The comedy, the serious moments the just all around greatness. John Cena was just amazing in it being a goofball and then to being sad and broken in moments like this. I cant wait for more.
@@riggs100I mean I haven't seen any other live action iteration of the punisher but jon bernthal isn't a bad one at all, he's just not written to be like the punisher from the comics. I kind of consider jon bernthals punisher to be its own character cuz the actual punisher is supposed to be this psychopathic murder machine that holds no regard for human life. jon bernthals punisher definitely isn't that but it's still a phenomenal performance in its own right and one of the best examples of the antihero trope I can think of, cuz let's face it real punisher isn't an antihero he's just a straight up villain

@@mikebelfi3877 his dad is a bona fide nazi and peacemaker's team accidentally got him sent to jail so when his dad, got out he wanted to kill him, but in this scene its showing how peacemaker really should've killed him because hes always been a terrible person and blamed peacemaker's brother's death on peacemaker when it was the dad's fault
@@pilsung26Dwayne, Baustista and John are all former wrestlers turned movie actors. Wrestling is an acting performance in itself, so people like to compare them in their respective roles. Bautista and John have been killing it in a wide variety of roles while Dwayne has been one note actor.
It’s criminal that this show isn’t more widely loved. Heard from so many that they hated it. This show was one of the best things to come out of the DCEU.
It's very hard to get the balance between serious and silly right in superhero adaptations. DC tends a little more towards the serious, Marvel a little more towards the silly. They both understand that you need both, but a lot of the time it's impossible to get such conflicting elements to coexist in one work.
@@vylbird8014 its not that hard Gunn does it always .its just u need to balance comedy and emotion well .marvel failed at that after phase 3 and dceu never stood a chance untill gunn
@@DikbeegPhase 4 also had Spiderman No Way Home and if you didn't cry at Peter mourning Aunt May or Andrew Garfield almost breaking down saving MJ then you are on something. That phase also had Shang Chi which people gushed the entire time about the emotional depth the characters had with their father. I only ever heard they handled the death of Black Panther super respectfully in the sequel (also phase 4). Like, I generally dislike Marvel and the MCU. But Phase 4 had the only films that made me care about any of the characters (also the worst film I have ever seen in MoM). honorable mention to Andre the Giant in Princess Bride, but from the few wrestlers turned acotrs i know, i agree. I love John Cena in comedies and loved him even more in PeaceMaker, and Dave Bautista is incredible too, especially in Bladerunner 2049 (even tho he's not there long) and Glass Onion (because i love that movie)
Dave Bautista? from guardians, blade runner, glass onion and horseman apocalypse movie. Nah he's terrible in all those movies. Especially as drax in guardians

This show was such a perfect blend of comedy and drama and John Cena absolutely killed it. I loved how funny he was as Peacemaker but I also loved how vulnerable he could get. My favorite scenes are with Peacemaker and Adebayo.
@HamzaKhaliq23 Not everyone can be Leonardo Di Caprio. He's only been a wrestler throughout his life, unlike Dwayne who got into Hollywood way before him. So being not completely new but kinda new to this industry, I think he's doing a pretty good job.
@@TheArchmage100 I wasn’t comparing him to DiCaprio but calling him a “really good actor” is an exaggeration. WWE wrestlers are generally not that good at acting because they only display one or two emotions during their promos, they’re pretty much glorified stuntmen.
The only time peacemaker was unable to control the recoil of a wepon most familiar to him, and for the first time he wasn't in control of anything, Small detail's like these are what definens good from great writers and actors. Bravo
As part of the queer community, the Faggot part was unnecessary. Understandable. And yet still unnecessary. We don't see white people saying the n word, so why that (unless it's a Tarantino film, but we all know he's a closet case and loves saying it in the shower as he cries)
This show did a great job with these villains. He is a neo-nazi white supremacist "sshole and spends his day talking to others about how lesser other races are. Of course he is also homophobic, toxically masculine. And the scenes of Peacemaker killing him and Vigilante making fun of and beating the sh't out of his allies were great. These guys exist and ate unabashadly villains.
